Jordan Peepeeson scim-read the manifesto before the Zizek debate, and I say scim-read (mind you, this is a pamphlet) because JP here tried to be picky about Marx not taking into consideration certain things as if the manifesto is the only work of Marx where all communist thought is summed up. JP also wrote "A Conservative Manifesto" thinking he's the Anti-Marx or some shit, which... he probably is to be honest because Marx was incredibly well read compared to this grifter.

Exactly. They aren't moving to capitalist imperial periphery countries, those that have been ravaged and left poor after decades of exploitation, but rather the imperial core itself where the wealth is flocking and where someone with an education and not under the boot of debt can have a comfy life. I can see why someone would defect from East to West Germany for economic reasons alone. It's good to point out when people bring up fleeing from these countries that they aren't exactly moving to Nigeria or El Salvador or India.
That's my most sci-fi is uninteresting to me. The authors often just come up with some Times Square looking moon cities with billboards in space.
