Plenty of capitalist countries can have electric cars, including but not limited to Chinese cars. The problem isn't capitalism here, it is the US.

Yes, I don't care if my views align with the slop or not. Just look at that weird tiny door for example.

Because corruption and/or the US pushing hard for it and they'd not ready to fight over it.

The Wehrmacht was a draft army, the SS was an elite force that picked people for being true believers. Both committed war crimes but one of the two had only true believers while the other had everything from a believer to just some guy trying to not get killed.

US Americans should know a thing or two about war crimes committing draft armies. Was every US soldier in Vietnam a war criminal?

Almost. Reality is even more impressive because it is so crucial for NYC, that, even in the US, authorities are investing just enough for it to not fall apart in one big bang.

Something as unique was hardly "bolted on". It would have been easier to just go with the ordinary. The mid-life redesign kept most of it intact, it merely did away with that "unique" flat hood , going for a less noteworthy more streamlined curve.

The Multipla is likeky the ugliest car ever made, at the same time it is one of the greatest designs ever made. How? Because it was an incredibly functional and innovative car, which is also why it sold despite its looks. It's exterior was not bolted on, it was part of why the interior could work. The car was never designed for the compensating crowd so did not need to impress anyone.

I don't write any articles on him or his dot file collection. The reach of Lemmy comments is close to zero and even more so among the red pilled who know the truth.

It is not. Just your regular social media disinformation.

I won't support disinformation just because it is supposedly for the good side.

The Jolla Phone (2026) is intended to be open for community based alternative backplates. To my knowledge, I created the first, albeit a fairly simple, one. It achieves 3 things:

  • make the backplate 3d printable, using the same clip based mount of the stock backplate
  • protect the camera lenses better without an additional protective case
  • add a metal ring on the inside to make the backplate compatible with Magsafe accessories.

As a side effect of course, one can get any colours one can find FDM filament for.

I hope others will follow and that they will also make use for the pogo pin connection prepared for these "TOH"s. Maybe we'll see for example a Qi charching TOH, or maybe even something with an e-ink display?

PS: If you want to have a look at it or print it yourself, the files are here: https://www.printables.com/model/1793098-jolla-phone-ctoh-m-clip-based-back-plate-with-magn
