Javier Bardem, Dean Stanley Morgan, and Gerard Butler are one person fused like the King Ghidorah meme in my brain.

My thoughts exactly. Lost a ton of respect for him over that.

Yeah, repeating the 5 previous mass extinctions.

Was on Bluesky the other day and saw greg pak posted something along the lines of:

We’ve successfully recreated the pre-elon twitter experience, but we forgot that it also sucked.

They really gave a football jersey with ‘pope leo’ written on it to a guy who has one of the most famously recognizable wardrobes in the world. The inability to read the room still amazes me everytime.

That headline does a lot of sanewashing when the only precedent is from the last time this administration was in chatge.

Hopefully by the time all of whatever expansions there will be gets released it’ll be a good game. If so, I’ll buy the bundle whenever it gets to 20 on steam sale. Can’t wait!!

While we’re pointing things out, this is also a non-islander owning 32 acres of land on the big island. Cool that a rich guy is going green though I guess.

Didn’t stop Giuliani, but I guess that isn’t saying much.

Funny, I go the opposite route. If a company does something to bother me enough, I will easily forego whatever experience they are providing. There is no lack of meaningful entertainment in this world, why further encourage shittiness when I can just enjoy something else? I do the same with prices. Too expensive? Fuck it, guess I don’t do that anymore. Here’s looking at you Phish; nothing against the band and understand their pricing, but I am not paying over $100 (especially now back w ticketmaster no less) for a concert. It doesn’t bother me if others do, it just becomes ‘not for me.’ Like everything, to each their own though.

That’s their stated reason, but I’m sure installing automated small package sorters at every delivery hub last year is the real driver of this.

Does this book ever pick up? I’m about a quarter of the way in and so far ‘The Adventures of Mary Sue As She Looks For A Date’ is just not doing anything for me. I remember tears ago hearing of it and thought it’s political world building, but so far it seems to be nothing more than ‘theater kids rule the world but- no touching.’ It seems like it wants to dive into the politics, but then again very other page it derails itself itself with ‘those damn eyes.’

Idk, I guess I’ve probably already made up my mind, but would be interested to know if it ever gets out of its own way.

Saw two shooting stars pop up while watching the comet last night, one of them showed up in the exposure I was taking at the time.
Canon R8 w 13s exposure, iso 8000, f7.1; cropped.

Was surprised to be able to see it this far south, in canyon of the ancients so super remote.

Taken on a Canon R8 24mm wide lens, iso 1600, 15 second exposure, f5.0; no post processing.
