No one pays that price. Influencers have codes they give out that brings the price down 20-30.

Haha you would have an aneurysm working at my store. People have been coming in to the store to switch from Pro phones to the regulars just because of the colors. It’s actually selling very well. Not once have I had someone come back to return it bc of the display.

You’ll be limited to what’s offered on Apple Arcade and App Store but imo there’s more than enough there for the casual gamer. I connect my 15 Pro to my tv and just completed my first play through of RE Village. Ran pretty damn well with all settings at max on 30fps. I can even link two controllers for head to head matches on NBA 2K with friends (worth the $5 for Apple Arcade alone). Stardew valley is pretty great too.
I would say the only other thing is that you want to have an extra apple device by you so you can respond to texts or w/e while gaming cuz some games freak out if you exit app.

If all you do is text, call, email, and use safari then yeah it’s probably fine.
I think the case looks great but I understand not everyone liking the worn look.

I work in a shop and helped someone with an iPhone 7 on iOS 13 move all their things to an iPhone 15 today. Didn’t really take long. You can keep your sim active on your 7 till you get the hang of the 15 if you want.
Just get the battery serviced.
