It must be difficult to be so stupid and live day to day like that. I can only imagine the stress Kash gets when the stoplight turns yellow and it doesn't know if he needs to shoot it, stop it, or fire the people who made it turn yellow.
It's insanity. I had to upgrade my work laptop to windows 11 this week.
IT didn't do their research and turns out our main software isn't compatible with windows 11 at all. So i had to downgrade back to windows 10. When i did, photos don't work and the microsoft store wont open.
Windows is such a horrible system, i have no idea why they made it so poorly. I could have installed any distro of linux and had it working well in less than 20 minutes. Upgrading to windows 11 took almost 2 hours and it still didn't work.
Now IT has to scramble to find a solution before the 14th and we lose all security updates, which they are very concerned about. What a nightmare to be in IT.
I do still freak out thinking i've been banned. Then i remember this isn't reddit and lemmy appreciates free speech. Then i look at the notifications and most of them are just people adding on to my comment and a good bit of upvotes.
It's nice to be in a place full of open minded people who are nerdy. Just where i want to be.

I have the same BS here in North Carolina were we deal with "coal ash" that power companies buried underground. Now they are noticing about 30% of the kids that went to school in those areas are getting cancer and the power companies REFUSE to do anything about it and say it's safe.
Coal is designed to give you cancer, nothing about it is clean. So the fact that donald trump stopped cancer research entirely, WHILE also giving coal the green light isn't good for american's at all.
Uhhh, so they did their job? I had to make 30+ delivery orders a day, some of them with over 50 items. NO TIPS because it was my job to do that and make sure everything the customer paid for is in the bag.
I set up my home server, then realized my Internet is shit and my upload speeds can't even steam 1 4k movie, let alone several at once.
I am not excited to triple my monthly Internet bill for better upload speeds, but it will have to happen soon.
