Maybe it's the teens from 2006 who dressed like those in 1973?

i’m middle aged and everyone assumes i’m lonely and depressed, but really i’m just not interested in being around people

I agree, I'm middle aged too and fine like this, enjoy spending time with my partner, our dog, nature, birds watching, etc.

Absolutely. I had multiple inkjet printer between 2000-2012, smearing, drying, expensive, etc. In 2012 I bought a laser colour wireless, (Samsung CPL-365W) this thing was fantastic, worked with windows, linux etc. Finally in 2024 the fuser died or something...

This makes sense.

I had a bulky ATX case with i7-3770k (16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) and 3 years ago I switched to a mini PC, Beelink SER5 with a 5600H, 32GB RAM, 512MB M2. It is incredible, it is like 5"x4" on my desk, super silent, super fast, mini PC are incredible! Can plug 3x 4K display. Now they have pretty good GPU too.

First thing I did was to install MX Linux on it. It is my daily PC, using it for work for 3 years now.

Same thing in Montréal, there is 3000-4000 empty condo, too small and too expensive.

[–] Magister@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago

Same as heatpump door-to-door sellers, heat duct cleaning, etc, scammers who charge top $$$ and subcontract for a misery

Didn't know there was a reboot, I thought it was about the 1985 movie, I saw it in theater in 1985, it was good :)

I live in Montréal and went to Upstate NY maybe 300 times, so I checked this post, but 60 miles from Manhattan lol this is far north I guess for NYC people?

No stupid question... it seems Trump is ready to invade (military) Panama and Greenland (red white blueland), so even if with Canada he always talk about economic war and annexing Canada blablabla...

What would happen if USA invades Canada? What would be the reaction of the Canada King (Charles III is the king of Canada)? The Commonwealth? NATO?

wtf...

Can you believe that, it's incredible... there's thousands and thousands empty condos in Montréal, a lot are new, and they continue to build them, sometimes even in high rising towers and all. A lot of them are illegal airbnb too.

Why they cannot sell them? They are small, expensive, and sometimes badly placed (no metro, no parking, bad area, place without services around, etc).

13 in 3 months in downtown area!!!

On the web, left of my name, my avatar is a black box, but on my profile page I can clearly see it.

Why? I'm pretty sure it was working months ago.

What a good time those years were!

I have an old application, EagleCAD, from 2014, a 32bit app, I managed to install it on my linux (Debian based, 64bits) and it works fine, but I had to look for and install some lib manually.

How can I package all this, the bin and libs, into one that I could easily re-install on about any distro? AppImage? Flatpak? Snap?
