So every user is their own moderator... which just sounds like a ton of extra work vs something like Mastodon where I can pick a server whose moderation practices I agree with, is already decentralized into countless servers and allows the user to spin up their own instance.

Keyword filtration as a moderation technique is woefully ineffective vs trolls who simply find "clever" new ways to harass with intentional misspellings, dogwhistles, etc.

Meanwhile, you're pitching this thing as "uncensorable" which automatically appeals to the worst elements available. Maybe I'm wrong and it'll be the perfect format for internet discussion, but I'm going to have to see that actually happen before I jump on board.

Actually, the best UI I've seen from smart TVs actually comes from some of the cheapest TVs: ones that come with Roku built in. You still have the spyware problem, and sometimes the hardware is pretty low end, but the UI is just like any Roku device.

Is the Chromecast spying less? I haven't looked into it, sp correct me if I'm wrong, but it just seems like you're trading to a different company invading your privacy.

I think that's the unspoken implication and I'm instantly suspicious of the entire premise. The entire field of forensic science is filled to the brim with things described as "fingerprints" that are not nearly as unique or consistent as the field would have us believe.

I appreciate the core premise, that it's not necessarily for bullet wounds in the civilian world. I'm not qualified to judge the specific choices, but it certainly seems logical to me.
