No, let's read all the words, -insurance data and rates. O sorry, what's your evidence besides click bait articles? I'll wait...

The cars record basically everything. Check out the insurance data. There's a reason there isn't an insurance premium for having an fsd enabled car. If it caused a significant amount of accidents as you claim there you would have to pay higher insurance with that option enabled. I hate to shatter your world view but these articles are click bait. The article about an idiot motorist lying about using fsd isn't going to get the clicks or internet rage and engagement.

You could use common sense or continue to live in your echo chamber. As they say ignorance is bliss.

I'm sorry but even if it was in fsd mode who would let their car drive onto train tracks? Almost every time these stories come up it was the person driving. But it's easier to blame fsd then look like an idiot. I also have never met a person in real life who actually believed teslas were truly full self driving full hands off the wheel. Especially with multiple warning screens when you activate fsd telling you it's not actually fsd. I guess let nature do its work.

The truly scary thing is plenty of people drive on train tracks all the time. Tesla or not.

So i had a similar thought as well. I haven't had the time to actually do it but there has been some success with people modding the 5th gen ipods with an SSD and larger battery. All portable players are just so ridiculously over priced. So this seems like it hypothetically could be a really good alternative.

I know this also isn't what you're looking for but there have been some older android phones purpose built with audio in mind and have high quality dacs built in. They would probably also make for a very good cheap portable player.

The planes had to be visible to the skies for spy satellites to see them per a nuclear treaty with the US. The US is required to do the same thing.

The tires were SOP due to previous drone attacks at other air bases. They have been doing that for months already.

I think it's really just as simple as they are different and people just don't like things that are different. Compounding the fact is a lot of people don't have any first hand experience interacting with a trans person and so believe what theyre told through their favorite media source.

Instead of taking a minute to just read the entire email, they decided to go immediately to the internet to complain. Then when people explained to them multiple times what is going on they decided to argue with them instead of ya know reading the email. The internet is alive and well.

Yeah if you already have a lifetime pass then essentially nothing changes. They also did the right thing about giving people a pretty good heads up to purchase a lifetime pass before they raised the price.

Your users may have gotten the notice (my family didn't) but they can ignore it if the server owner has a lifetime pass.

Great so why can't he take 30 seconds out of a year to say that? I'm sure people would understand. The issue everyone is having is the lack of updates. So essentially yes it is abandoned. No updates either way, no word from developer either way been over a year = abandoned.

Great he responded to you but did he say when the next update will be? Or explain the lack of updates? I mean we could all makes guesses but the fact of the matter is it's been abandoned and in its current state is broken. There is no reason to use it.

Additionally this is hurting Lemmy in general. People will try to use sync for Lemmy because it's familiar and not realize the issues they are having are with sync because it's broken not Lemmy. Then stop using Lemmy. I know you're well intentioned but you shouldn't give people hope when you know nothing more than anyone else.

I mean all of that is good and well but basically all of this is just your assumption. Its nice that you "believe" this but you don't speak for the developer.

My issue is we have heard nothing at all from the developer. If the project was alive or just moving slowly I'd imagine we would hear something. Literally anything but we haven't. If youre going to take people's money be direct and just let people know what to expect. It's not difficult to do. That's great you sent issues to the developer when's that update coming to fix it? This week, next year, never......
