What I can't understand is one of these had a 5litre+ sized engine. How they fit it in is crazy

I'd hope the heat you're getting is because it's mostly

  1. Americans that can't comprehend that a steering wheel may be on the right (and as such your move is to inconvenience someone that has inconvenienced you).
  2. ICE drivers that don't understand that sometimes EV chargers are broken such that you need to park that tight to access the working charger (or trickle charging due to another vehicle using it, very much like the flow of petrol also slows).

We're 100% behind this action when a EV charger is "ICEd" as it is getting alot less frequent so the education is clearly working

I dont know why you're bothering: either the other poster understands the principle of EV charging taking 20 minutes rather than the 3 minutes it takes to fill an ICE, or they're an idiot. Either way you lose trying to explain it to them

Haha, bless you for being concerned but this was months ago. He got back out there killing things less than an hour later so must have only had a half lick.

Thanks for caring, don't change

I fear I contributed to this as I woke up to a frog on my pillow and my idiot black cat staring off into nothingness for 30 minutes.

I've done enough drugs to know he's high af but needed to check!

Do you mean they'll be in some way inedible by being submerged in sea water sorry?

I had assumed that data trawling being what it is, there's probably a clear record of all social media accounts without you providing anything. Hell, maybe even pre assessment by AI of your profile like the Chinese social rating based on what you've wrote, read and even lingered over without clicking on

Don't you start! :)

Lol, what tourists

[–] NotJohnSmith@feddit.uk 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

True. Having slept on it I've decided im at peace with it, even in my terrible scenario there's a chance we'll do 50% on electric so 50% of what a proper EV pays is OK.

Newer phevs that can do 40-50 miles range and rarely do more clearly win but good luck to them.

I mentioned somewhere else where I'm still irate at is they're saying electric 2 motorbikes will pay the same 3p as an EV car. That's nonsensical, my 100kg moped has no meaningful damage to the road at all yet it's going to represent a 600% increase in my per mile cost

I hadn't thought about it like this, I don't think the Gov would either as they only want to try to get closer to an EV and an ICE being taxed the same per mile. So using your example moving from:

EV = 0.1 pence of tax per mile (5% VAT on the 2p per mile you reference) ICE = 6.2 pence of tax per mile

to

EV = 3.1 pence ICE = 6.2 pence

Soneone spare a thought for me, tried not to be car brained and got an electric motorbike.

Massively efficient if you can bear the exposure but that's now going to be charged at 3p/mile too. Problem is, it only costs 0.5p/mile to run so my tax is now 6x what the electric costs :(

Just had a horrific experience with priceline.

Booked half board for 2 adults and a child through them. My spidery senses tingled so I checked with the hotel and they'd only booked for 2 adults, and only breakfast.

Try as I might I could neither get them to comprehend the issue, or accept fault (preferring to blame the hotel somehow).

Long story short: don't be like NotJohn, don't use priceline - your stress levels will thank you

Spending lots of time fighting nature in my garden, wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a podcast pls as my feed is dry.

My current listens are Johnny Vaughan, Danny Wallace, Wolf & Owl, Pappy's, Help i sexted my boss and no such thing as a fish.

I feel like I've done history podcasts to death. Non-US as I work for an American firm and need some separation while not at work! :)

Thanks

My 5yr old son has just been diagnosed. The diagnosis was binary (yes:no) rather than a scale which was the first lesson for me.

I need to understand how to support him and am not sure where to start. Does anyone have any advice please?

Ok, hit me with ideas please. I can't afford to double the cost but am prepared to pay extra for European cat food, both dry and wet.

Anyone found good options? I'm in the UK which may limit my options

Only just taken it up, came from tennis so I'm a reasonable level (3.5ish).

I'm keen to play when I'm on holiday in Spain and wondered what people felt was the best way of approaching this.

Do I email the nearest club and ask them to set me up with some of their club members? Or maybe just focus on 1-2-1 coaching? (would that even work or would you need a pair to do coaching?).

Is there an app in Spain where you advertise to have a game? I think playtomic is meant to be but doesn't seem too active.

We're at a kids resort so I thought to ask the resort to try to organise but I don't think they'll want to be doing this just to entertain me lol

Any other ideas appreciated
