Yeah that’d be a good fit vs what they have now.
It only matters what everyone is willing to pay him. He’s had a brutal year, he’s not getting paid shit.
Our O-Line is solid with good young talent. There are no defensive lineman worth taking in the top five.
Panthers pick will probably be #1, our could easily be anywhere from 2-10. There is a scenario where we can take a new QB and MHJ.
Panthers are very likely to be #1. They’d have to win two more games than the Cardinals and Giants. If we lose to the Cardinals and the Patriots beat the Giants, we are at #1 and #2.
It would actually be a much larger jump for one extra loss. The 13th pick is currently going to a 4 win team.
Plus Carolina is going to be the #1 pick almost certainly. If we lose to the cardinals it’s very likely we are the #2 or #3. Being #2 or #3 means either MHJ or another trade back with a massive haul.
So yes, purely on draft picks this lose could have a massive impact on our future.
The secondary has had to do a lot extra because our pressures have been historically bad before the last few games, last year included.
Same goes for the Patriots. Panthers would have to win two more games than NE/NY and they play each other. We have a great chance at the #1.
