I was overweight through my teens and into my adult life. I finally got down to a healthy weight by having a partner who would hold me accountable about working out and eating healthy. I am at a healthy weight now (not my ideal) but I have fat in the wrong places that I can’t get rid of (lower belly, thighs). I look good in most clothes, but I hate wearing bathing suits and yoga pants (I love yoga so I still do) because they emphasize those parts. 😭

I guess to answer the question, most of the time I’m good with the way my body looks with clothes on, but I struggle with it still.

Also, anyone who has lost major weight knows it takes a long time for your body to β€œbounce back” (the saggy skin drawing back) and my body isn’t quite finished with that yet. I will say, it’s so much better than it was for anyone experiencing this. It just takes time.

I wear a tank top always, and sleep shorts or sleep pants. I have some cute bottoms and I grab a tank top color that matches - I have a bunch of soft ones. I have a couple β€œsets” of pajamas - two shorts and two pants (with long sleeve shirts - I wear a tank top under), and I wear whichever is available. I also have several weights (warmths) of pants. I also have sweaters and shirts I wear over a tank top in the winter.

Also, I don’t mind lounging in my PJs for a lazy weekend day, but before I go to bed, I’ll shower and put them in the laundry.

How long do you guys wear yours for? I’m a week, but mostly because I do laundry on the weekend. πŸ˜‹

Either our intelligent gut bacteria will make us do the right thing, or we will kill ourselves like birds eating plastic. Heck, we could use Ai to make us a gut bacteria that eats plastic and turns it into energy - who knows what the future holds!

I’m afraid of their power. The onion told me some can be in every bathroom everywhere all at once. I totally support them in that, but it’s also scary because what if I have to use the bathroom really bad!!

Trump backtracks on campaign pledge to bring down grocery prices

The president-elect walked back what was always a wildly unrealistic campaign promise.

Dec 12, 2024, 10:19 AM ESTUpdated 10 hours ago

President-elect Donald Trump admitted in an interview with Time magazine that it will be difficult for him to reduce consumer prices, contrary to statements he made on the campaign trail this year.

Trump told Time in an hourlong interview for its β€œPerson of the Year” feature that his presidency wouldn’t be a failure if he failed to bring the price of groceries down.

β€œI’d like to bring them down. It’s hard to bring things down once they’re up. You know, it’s very hard. But I think that they will,” Trump said, according to the transcript.

Trump is right that it’s very hard to achieve across-the-board price reductions. Curbing inflation is only a matter of slowing the rate of price increases β€” actual economy-wide price drops typically don’t happen outside of a massive economic downturn.

Nevertheless, Trump repeatedly told voters during the campaign that electing him president would cause prices to tumble.

. . .

β€œWe will cut your taxes and inflation, slash your prices, raise your wages and bring thousands of factories back to America,” Trump said at a Georgia rally in October, reciting a line he used in speeches at several other events.
