I would generally not recommend installing packages like that (even though it's often the first thing you see on websites), prefer declaring it in your configuration.nix or use nix-shell -p for a quick test of a package. It might be helpful to run the program through the terminal to get more useful debugging output

The normal user still uses multiple spaces and newlines to format their documents instead of tabstops and pagebreaks. Doesn't use automatic Table of contents or knows how to use sections to make the page numbers show up where they want. It doesn't help, that the online version doesn't support section insertion. I pretty much never use Word, but it's an incredibly complex piece of software, people don't know how to use. Even the elusive positioning of pictures isn't all too hard if you know what anchors do.

With some tweaks to the flags you could recompile everything optimized to your hardware but now reproducible

I see it more like 8 hours work 1h state mandated break at work 1h commute 8h of sleep 1h of eating then you got 5h under the week, (very generously). So it's not 168h a week it's maybe 55. After coming home at around 18:00 I don't really feel like doing anything else that day, mostly cutting down my time where I get to do something meaningful to the weekend

Hate to break it to you: there is already a ribbon option in Libreoffice

My only gripe with it is that it's a store app, meaning the path to the executable is very convoluted. So starting it via a powertoys shortcut is a hassle and I think only works for one specific version until the path changes

From what I've heard the lack of buttons is actually a cost saving measure, if you put in an infotainment system anyway
