The back tap or double tap on iPhones is really inconsistent for me. I’d be surprised if it worked any better on the watch.

I would be thrilled to get a series 6 with the stainless steel.

You can get a series 7 or 8 with the aluminum body for less of course. You’d get texting from the watch as well. Not really important to me though. The stronger screen is more important.

This isn’t a conspiracy. Apple just doesn’t want to support its older products.

Yes, given Apple’s lifecycle it should get major software updates for the next 4 years or so.

Editing videos might require more than 8GB of RAM which will significantly add to the cost though.

If I were to guess, which I am, August-September off next year. Doesn’t make sense to do it any sooner and it would follow their previous schedule.

I’ll just assume that you are fake, OP

Setting it to that high of a resolution is mind boggling small.

I think it would do what you’re asking but it would be unusable.

If it were an Air, 8GB makes sense since it’s designed for a lighter workflow. For the Pro, 8GB doesn’t make sense as any improvement you will have will likely be bottlenecked unless you just care about the nicer screen in the Pro.

So the question is, why do you want the Pro?

Use Al Dente. Might help.

I’ll wait for an M3 Air.

Isn’t it annoying to switch back and forth?

For me even dual booting is a pita.

I’ve upvoted everyone who responded but this is the only answer that resonates with me.

Most of the decisions we make are emotional.

Thanks for your honesty.

I’m just curious if it’s because there was a particular app or a workflow that motivated you to get a MacBook? Or just the Apple ecosystem?

Genuinely just curious.
