English is nothing if not a bastard child of way too many different languages and has inherited and then changed their pronunciation rules. English pronunciation will never make sense.

Everybody thinks about these events entirely wrong. There are sociological reasons people are violent or otherwise engaging in antisocial behaviour. Once we start giving people a place to live to actually set their lives up instead of just letting folks rot in the street much of this problem will mostly solve itself. Everyone seems to want to downplay the issue, but we don't need to do that because there's real solutions that don't involve state violence.

Either way this problem, even in its genuinely problematic current form and not something I will handwave away on its own, is not that significant compared to the personal and social harm of car centrism. You should still be more worried about dying in a car crash than some violent actor on public transit.

If by "no one" you mean the same people who keep motion smoothing on because they don't notice, yeah. Personally I don't like fake information that balloons filesizes. The artifacts are obvious to me.

I'd put it down to a shit library or pseudorandomness before something happening that's so lucky it functionally should never happen.

Just wait until you find out how much roads cost. No, gas and registration taxes don't even come close to covering it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IsMeKl-Sv0

Usually the second, which is the most common option, because we know objectively that studios are in fact not "losing" eleventy billion dollars to piracy. If that were true most people would choose the first.

I'm not buying the new Pokémon game. I'll play it on an emulator if it's not too much hassle. I don't have plans to ever buy it, and if it never works on emulation, I will just not play it.

In a different case, I've gone from pirating a bunch of games to buying them because I liked them and wanted the updates. BG3 for example.

HALF THE DAMN COUNTRY? People will believe ANYTHING. God damn.

You joke but that's literally not scaring voters anymore. Zohran uses the word "socialist" all the time. Conservatives' red scare timer is quickly running out as the country is destroyed by fascist oligarchy (the endpoint of capitalism).

Responsibilities usually come with privileges. If you fail to fulfil your responsibilities, you lose those privileges. I'm not really sure what you're getting at here because I don't think we really disagree.

The safety understander has logged on.

Better get those spinning clubs installed lest you're left behind.

Your experience is valid but Datura seeds are NOT the same thing as acid and shrooms, yeah? Deliriants and psychedelics are completely different experiences. You are much more likely to have horrifying and terrible trips with deliriants, and you will not even understand what's happening to you isn't real, because categorically deliriants take that ability away from you.

In 2025, even in the 2010s, the Psychonaut Wiki is absolutely invaluable for harm reduction like this.

There's lots of time and people in the world. Sometimes unlikely dice rolls happen. It's just a matter of probabilities
