Yeah, I got a phone at 12, and I now think that might even be too young for an internet-connected smartphone. Too many young boys getting radicalized into the far right by Tiktok and Instagram reels. I am not advocating for Life360, just making the internet a time and place rather than something that's on and available 100% of the time.

This is the difference between the individual and the systemic. Sure, the system is putting pressures that make the past of least resistance to be friendless and alone. But you have the power to fight that, and if you want your life to be better, you absolutely must. I believe in you

It is by design, but unless you wanna rot in your basement until you expire, it's up to you to defy the pushes of the system to complacency. Going out and making some friends with a common interest immediately improves your life.

Whaaat? Neoliberal policies that are focused on keeping capital happy aren't good for people?

Sorry. Real tired of the news cycle feigning ignorance. Either the government makes capital upset or the problem continues to get worse. The ultra wealthy LOVE that housing keeps rising. Real-estate is a problematically large part of our GDP.

Yes, we don't need to exaggerate, Carney's neoliberal austerity doesn't have to be fascism to be overall bad for us.

Carbon capture. What a fuckin joke. At this point I'm expecting all-weather roads to be solar freakin' roadways or equally as delusional.

Who wanted this? People are on their phones for 36 hours a day and yet they're still trying to make them thinner?

I just hope they remember bendgate.

Rule of law is dead because a central tenet of fascism is that "there are those that the laws bind and but do not protect, and those that the law protects but does not bind"

I believe the poster is feminist and is saying "woke, feminist" facetiously and just pointing out a tendency of certain online spaces to subscribe to patriarchy but in the opposite direction.

Because they suck.

Yeah, Neelix has a lot of annoying times (and creepy in the case of Kes) but I definitely like him as the guy who's smiling because he's seen some truly terrible shit and just wants the people around him to feel comfortable in their situations. Neelix was written so many different ways in Voyager, it's hard to totally like or dislike him.

I have Hydrus Network periodically scrape e621 search results using a plaintext list of artists I've just compiled over the years. As far as checking artists I like, e621's design is so inherently poor for that that I just started following artists on different websites, particularly bsky and FA.
