Laws are only real if they're enforced.

The very idea of a user-generated content free-to-play MMO for children with whack-a-mole moderation is totally bananas. Even good whack-a-mole moderation would be a bananas design.

I'm okay with little kids online gaming, but it needs to be in content that has been approved by a responsible adult in a setting where either adults are actively supervising or the children are on a server where we know everybody who's in there.

Isn't the antichrist supposed to be a charismatic leader?

Geforce 3060, and yes. Sometimes my primary screen gets locked at my secondary screen's framerate. The whole OS is especially wonky after wake from sleep, I often have to restart Firefox and Cinnamon after wake. WebGL things in Firefox are especially finicky. The panel-applet-spice things are horrendously single-threaded, some of lock the whole UI regularly.

I'm going to try some other Debian-based OS in the hopes that this is just Mint+Cinnamon and not the state-of-the-art.

I tried Mint and it's just too buggy to use.

(or, as the article writer JMM said on BSky when positing the article, "Green P Delenda Est.")

It's almost like letting freaks take over your political movement can drive away normal people.

A pleasant reversal from the usual situation. Like, all the regulations that sandbag against housing are municipal, which can only be overridden by the provinces.

She's been a public figure for more than her whole adult life. If she were a habitual liar it'd already have come up.

Various detectors you use when trying to debug a problem -- ethernet testers, decibel meter, battery discharge tester, thermal camera, wifi and cellular signal analyzers, air quality testers, radon detectors (edit: hah of course this is what article is about), stud finders, etc.

Overly-specific tools -- ethernet crimpers, obscure driver bits.

I'm loving the idea of the transphobic Mitch McConnell voters of Kentucky realizing that their state's only products are bourbon and sadness and we stopped buying bourbon.

So lemmiverse, my https://pxtl.ca domain has officially been booted off of Google Domains (welcome to the Google graveyard, Google Domains) and now has been moved into Squarespace, which is expensive.

Anybody recommend a good cheap .ca TLD domain host? One with a decent API for dynamic DNS so I can keep my home subdomain? I have a couple of pi4 servers in the house that could be tasked with pinging an API endpoint to notify the domain host of my IP.

thanks in advance.

edit: in the end I went with CanSpace as registrar, and I'm using CloudFlare to actually run the nameservers.

The transfer was kind of a PITA because since the domain transferred from Google to Squarespace to Canspace to then being hosted on CF's nameservers (but still on Canspace) the DNSSEC meant that CF couldn't actually get it connected until like 48 hours later. Was quite worried that I'd screwed up somewhere.
