The SMS messages that my provider sends me when they see I have crossed a border explicitly state there are no extra costs. Minutes/bytes are taken at the same rate from the same bundle.

I can't speak for the countries you mention, but I can give you an insight for The Netherlands.

First of, there is a big demand for English teachers in highschool (students aged around 12 to 18).

But. To become a teacher you need a university degree. Either a bachalors degree or a masters degree (masters unlocking the later ages/classes). See the following page for details: https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/onderwerpen/werken-in-het-onderwijs/vraag-en-antwoord/welke-onderwijsbevoegdheden-zijn-er

Also note that being a teacher is a tough job. Budget cuts have put a lot of strain on the sector, and the teachers do feel that. A lot of people burn out. However, the pay is decent, so if you love the job, you can thrive.

I mention all this, because I suspect that it is similar in other European countries. Hence, to get a good job will require proper preparation and some dedication. Maybe studying abroad in the country you want to move to first.

I once visited a museum in Split where they had the lifework of a guy on display: dozens of scenes filled with taxidermy frogs going about their human like lives.

Slightly, but certainly not 90°. You can see this yourself by trying to match the map location in Google maps or OSM. I think the reason they tilted the map a bit, is that it makes it much smaller, while still keeping Crimea on the map.

Seeing the overwhelming amount of acceptance in the other comments is amazing. But I do need to play advocate of the devil for a second here, and mention moderation.

I assume this concent will not be in English.

But if the existing moderators do not speak the language of the content, then they cannot effectively moderate. This makes it a massive risk to allow non-english content on your instance with only English speaking moderators. Hence, I would only recommend posting such concent to instances that are natively speaking the language. For example, German and Dutch content almost exclusively exists on German and Dutch instances respectively.

No need to have a good response. I'm with you in being a bit weirded out by it. I just felt I shouldn't be alone in my state of being weirded out by this.

As a European, this sounds like a rude and slightly exaggerated way of asking a normal question. A bad way to start, but probably not something that will get you kicked out of an interview in 30 seconds.

I would say the Soviet Union and the Dutch VOC were both bad for the same core reason: they were an ideological extreme. Capitalism is only a good system, if it is localized and regulated. Otherwise a small group of people will come out on top and exploit everyone else. But the same holds for communism, as clearly seen in any nation attempting communism, you inevitably get a dictator who will exploit the people for his or her own good. The difference is that when you weaken communism by implementing only parts of it, like universal healthcare, or unemployment benefits, then we call it socialism.

Anything that requires structurally lying or hiding information against the interest of the people I talk with/to. Sales, politics, advertisement, etc.

While catsitting I made the grave error of putting sardines (cat food) in the bowl of the cat. She sniffed it, turned around and sat down with her back to me. If I was going to put THAT into her bowl, I wasn't even worth acknowledgement anymore.
