The Claypool trade as you mentioned was a disaster. The worst move that wasn't made, was not trading Fields, before/during the 2022 draft. It was obvious after last year that he wasn't the answer, and due to his elite athletic ability he could have returned a first rounder, and probably a 4th or 5th rounder also. After this year, his value may be as low as a 4th rounder ( anything is better than nothing). That was Poles worst non - move, but overall, he has done a good job. With a decent QB, the Bears can compete for a playoff spot next year.

The defense is much better than some people here seem to think. The offense is getting better also ( other than QB).

Defending Fields as an NFL starting QB, is incredibly stupid. His body of work speaks for itself!!

Williams and Maye are both extremely highly rated. Barring a major injury, they will go #1 and #2 in the draft. Without a good quarterback, you can't go far in the NFL. The Bears have one if the worst starters in the league in Fields.

That would be the stupidest draft pick in the Chicago Bears history. The Bears have to take a qb, they currently don't have one!!
