Boardgame ports are nice, but sometime difficult on a small screen. I am also enjoying Star Traders: Frontiers. There are even the Old Total Wars games. All this are not free though. Netflix has several good games if you are subscribed.

Creating music is harder than performing (hence all the cover bands). If you don't create then you must be even better at performing, but it is feasible. Check out Fiorella Mannoia in Italy. Very good singer but mostly she doesn't write her songs. Plus there are good songwriters who have stage fright or are not good at performing in public.
