The hut employs you as a crust stuffer actually. At least the tips are good!

Its definitely worth the time investment. World building is amazing, very wide variety of character perspectives and motivations. I'll admit, I've never actually finished the series either. I made it to book 8 twice before falling off because you're right, ten massive books is a lot. I do have book 8 on order now, going to start from there this time.
Also if you or anyone reading this comment likes black metal check out Caladan Brood. The project is named after a Malazan character and all the songs on their single album are rooted in various plots from the series.
Tossing Malazan Book of the Fallen into the "chewy" pile!
Also seconding Redwall, Brandon Sanderson and Terry Pratchett. Robert Jordan likes to tug braids for chapters at a time but there's still good nuggets throughout.
Sounds like a fun exercise. Quick Google found this stackex question, might point you in the right direction.
Otherwise the print shop may have a verification document/method that could be adapted to the self-service printers? Sounds frustrating that they can't/won't assist more.
Several times a month this will happen after lacing one shoe but before lacing the other. I'll stand up, look down at my feet and just shake my head.
Hell yeah! Thank you so much.
Then there's eternal classics like Stardew Valley, Balatro, Terraria,FTL, Into the Breach, Slay the Spire or Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Did you check my installed games? Sure, I've replaced FTL with Void War (same game tbh) and play Slay the Spire on my phone (and laptop via screen mirroring) but that list is ~80% of what I'm looking to move on from!
I've found success with static backgrounds and turn-based games. I have made due with 1600x90 at 50% texture rendering for CK3 but that's different. I'm not sure if they're on sale but for the sake of listing more laptop friendly games: Across the Obelisk, For the King, Tales of Maj'eyal, Loop Hero and Project Zomboid do well.
Minecraft and Rimworld depends on modlist. I tried to downsize my 150-odd Rimworld mods and ended up with 200, c'est la vie.
Will investigate you list tonight and keep you posted!
If there is min/maxing to be done then by definition our current practices are not best. They may be (and generally are) good and functional practices but until the research is done we don't know what best practices are or when to apply them.
I for one am onboard with pursuing this research. Not just because I think it's interesting and love to scientifically dispel (or support!) "traditional wisdom" but also because pursuing knowledge for knowledge's sake is an admirable goal on its own.
Knowledge is shareable power and I don't believe in "knowing enough" about something we clearly don't know enough about. Knowledge and research have far reaching effects; researching cast iron pan seasoning is an intersection between several sciences and engineering disciplines and no one can guess what knowledge may be gained until we gain it.
So like StumbleUpon but vendor-locked to already popular services. Any possibility it could get a Fediverse edition? That sounds actually useful instead of supporting continued useage of platforms with boardroom controlled content-selection algorithms.
Looking for suggestions for 2D low-spec/laptop friendly games. Picked up Ale Abbey thus far, simulator/colony managers are my jam right now but want some variety too.
Could do edge to edge rows of evenly spaced small symbols? Inch by inch grid of asterisks or denser if necessary might do.
OP is looking for industrial-grade printers though. Are you able to contact local/online shops? They're likely to know their own printable area.
Firstly, I received a paycheck that was delayed a week and sorely missed in the meantime.
The BIG DEAL is that I got a job offer for an engineering position! It's in the industry of my dreams and will set me up extremely well to grow the career I've put so much blood, sweat and tears into pursuing.
Fucking. Finally. Its been a long year for UBJ and this was a win I sorely needed.
