We are stuck in the same spot. Musicbrainz Picard might help? I checked it out but metal genre tags range from simple to way too specific to poorly categorized. Might help you get the tagging done at least.

I have never paid to stream music. I grew up with dial-up and terrible cell reception making torrenting a chore (shout-out leaving Limewire up overnight for one song) and streaming a total non-starter. In high school I checked out stacks and stacks of CDs from the library to rip onto my computer.

With the help of better internet I was able to access torrenting and luckily my special interest in the metal genre kept me off the ISP radar though I use a VPN nowadays. You may be able to find a tracker specialized in a specific music taste - depending on your attitude towards torrenting. I do my best to recompense the bands via merch (especially vinyl) and concert ticket sales.

Sheboygan actually hosted the PGA at Whistling Straits awhile back.

I agree with the lack of drive-bys.

The whole town is going to zip up tighter than a nun's cunt. That's the deal with towns that small. The petty politics and incestuous infighting take a back seat when outsiders start looking their direction. Whatever her profession, the quoted woman will get shushed and the cops will throw up their hands due to lack of physical evidence.

As a former resident, fuck Wisconsin. I will block this community for my own sanity but I wanted to share my thoughts first. Good luck you guys.

I grew up and worked around Sheboygan Falls. I have a friend or two that live there. Sheboygan Falls is pretty damn rural and quiet as fuck. "Drive-by shooting" is such a bafflingly unlikely cause of this shooting. I'd be more inclined to believe the police did it and are lying about it than believe Sheboygan Falls had a random drive-by shooting.

Honestly at this time of year I'd say a deer poacher or some drunk rednecks plinking away with zero regard for what's behind their target (or no target whatsoever) is a much more likely scenario. Actually, now that I consider it drunk redneck drive-by may in fact be a potential cause. Such a dumb fucking place filled with dumb fucking drunks.

I'm so damn sorry for this man and his family and so damn happy I have moved far away from that fucking part of Wisconsin.

This isn't just wealth though. Wealth has the potential to lose its worth in some scenarios depending on the outcome of the current regime. Arable land? As long as we don't hit the MAD button arable land is going to be primo real estate regardless of what happens. Wealth can only buy food; arable land produces it. THATS power.

Right? I went from passively refusing to give Disney my (non-existent) money to actively refusing to give Disney my (still non-existent) money.

Corporate control over an algorithm that decides who is served what content is a platform-agnostic tool of power over society. We're seeing that danger manifest in old and new ways every single day. That lever of power allows whomever owns that particular medium to push whatever content they like. That is the entire motivation behind and purpose of the Fediverse and other decentralization efforts.

Zuck and muskrat separate populations, push propaganda and influence discussions at an unprecedented level. The control a single corporation, a single authoritarian point of power has over such vast swathes of population dwarfs the propagandic power of Goebbles and Stalin by an order of magnitude or more.

I don't blame America explicitly like the other commenter. The conditions that have allowed the billionaire class to explode and wield power and influence exist elsewhere in the world as well. That said, America's legal and regulatory frameworks did provide particularly fertile breeding grounds for the exploitation and hoarding of capital that produces billionaires.

Welp, I've been enjoying KDE but I can find something else.
