Guess what. I never saw two chromosomes unless I browsed by r/all. You have an ability to curate what you see, both here and on reddit. Blocking and defederating achieve nothing. Unless of course it's an echo chamber you want to live in.

Holy duck! Lemmy has become r/conservative.

I'm a leftie and can't stand tankies, but lemmy is becoming a really intolerant place. On reddit we were all united against u/spez no matter our other disagreements. Here, after only a few months we're talking about blocking instances and communities instead of just joining and viewing the ones that Interest us...

Perhaps it's time to let this experiment run its course.

Thanks Obama!

A few years ago, I set up a monthly donation. Of all things I can use for free on the internet, Wikipedia deserves it the most.

Does that include all the visitors blocked by their paywall?

Edit: I'm referring to NYT.

What? Semites aren't white like Semites?

Thanks for mentioning beeper. It's an app I've been looking for.

4 X 50 = 200. Then add some weight for the fence mesh and timber frame/legs. I'd say around 250 pounds or around 110kg.

Google results is exactly what I don't want. It's a shopping mall and interest. The only answers I'm looking for usually come from reddit, which I left. How ironic.

I give a fuck about quality answers.

Is there a guide on how to do this? Quite frankly, it sounds way too complicated for me - using search engine to learn how to use search engines and then having to set it up monthly...

Thanks for reading. :-)

I've tried searx, but even simple queries returned no results. I just want sometnig reasonably private that works and doesn't turn the Web into a shopping mall.

Recently I've gave up Windows for Linux and installed Ubuntu with KDE Plasma desktop on my pc and laptop from 2007. It's an i7 Intel processor with 8gb ddr ram so I thought it would be fine, but it seems quite sluggish. What distro could I use that would be faster and still fully functional? Thanks for your help in advance.
