That’s not how it works. Leftists won’t be “allowed” to take over the DNC. Voters will need to create the political will to run leftists. There hasn’t been enough demand for leftists candidates. There are enough examples of leftists wining primaries and losing elections to prove that.

Election results have proven that leftists aren’t the majority. Politicians are beholden to the voters not leftists.
If leftists don’t vote for the candidate furthest to the left because they “aren’t left enough”. Then the party will replace those votes by appealing to those to the right.
Before Obama, Bill Clinton won two terms in a row.
Bill Clinton is not progressive. This would indicate the two term win wasn’t related to the progressive stance.
There are plenty examples of progressives winning primaries and losing elections. And progressives politicians are pretty rare to begin with. This shows how few American voters actually lean left.
Hillary stole the primary from Bernie because she had invested in the DNC for her own self gain, sure. But that doesn’t mean Bernie would’ve won the election.
It’s a popular opinion on lemmy that democrats should’ve known that Hillary couldn’t beat Trump. Yet she got the popular vote.
This is another example of lemmy not reflecting what actual voters choose.
How do you audit them without revealing national security secrets?
I could understand why foreign actors would try to manufacture consent to force the pentagon to reveal what they’re using their budget on.
It performative. It’s becoming too obvious even to republicans that Trump is owned by Russia.
They’re making these public statements so their propaganda machines have something to use to claim Trump isn’t owned by Russia.

The majority of voters chose Trump. Unfortunately that’s how a democracy works.
