DPRK pulling out all the stops for Putin visit

[–] WilsonWilson@hexbear.net 41 points 11 months ago

I heard Brazil didn't even want to send a diplomat so they sent an observer instead. It would have been funny if they just sent a cardboard cutout of a person and propped it up in a chair.

What do hexbears think about Putin's recent peace offering?

All the major MSM had a headline story for Putin's speech but didn't go into any details and all rejected it out of hand. I had to go back to Mercouris june 14 video and transcribe them:

1)All Ukrainian troops completely withdraw from annexed territories - they are Russia now

Donetsk Luhansk Kherson Zaporizhzhia

-Russia will guarantee Ukrainian troops safe passage out of the territories

2)Formally declare abandonment of Ukrainian plans to join NATO, no nukes in Ukraine, de-militarisation, de-nazified leadership, non aligned with West

3)Drop all financial sanctions against Russia

We have this argument all the time concept vs implementation. Scooters seem like a great idea but when implemented by SV tech bros it ends up being a nightmare. I was in Austin tx for the eclipse and those lime scooters were everywhere. The was a dozen lying on the sidewalk in front of Amy's ice cream. Scooters abandoned on the grass in front of the capital. I even saw one on the the east-side interstate by the tesla factory. Its a shame Austin didn't just do the scooters themselves. City employees would drive around with a pickup truck and keep things tidy. Make the first three hours of use free so everyone can use them.

ah that makes sense. I had this mental picture of Claudia riding shotgun in a CJ7 with the top off.

Glad Sheinbaum is ok. President of Mexico should be riding in something safer than a jeep.

Can you use phones made in China? I'd like to get a Huawei phone but they are missing an important band I need for my area (usa). Seems like they are easier to find unlocked.

Did they include the effects from Ansarallah and Hezbollah resistance or just BDS?

[–] WilsonWilson@hexbear.net 8 points 11 months ago

Thats a good question but unfortunately I don’t have a really good answer. I think most of us look at a wide variety of sources and then try to synthesize a truth from that. Even bad MSM sources are useful by noting what narratives they are trying to push or what information they are omitting. If I could only give two sources I would probably say read Al Jazeera for everything but Russia (Qatari government dislikes Russia for some reason) and watch Alexander Mercouris for Russian Ukraine war news.

Alexander Mercouris had enough of all these line crossing memes. He wants all of us Putin red line commenters to know that Nato is drawing the red lines and not Russia. Alexander says "you want a red line I'll give you one. Nato drew a red line around Ukraine and on 24 February 2022 Putin crossed it".

LMAO

I smell a capitalist advertising scam (any PR is good PR) but still funny.

Me: Sir? Sir? Um hullo yes uh could you pls refer to your party as the CPC?

Xi: What did I say?

Me: Comrade you said the CCP and I think you meant CPC. It's not a big deal but the chuds use CCP and when you refer to it as such your just giving them power it's not helpful.

Xi: (shrugs) CCP/CPC what difference does it make? (motions to security)

As I'm dragged out of the auditorium I shout: "COMRADE LIKE I SAID IT'S RLY NOT A BIG DEAL ACRONYMS SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD I'M NOT MAD THO.

We pass the exit and I see a reporter by the door. "Pls don't write down that I was mad."

Captain's log, stardate 23264.3:

the smo against squirrels continues......

thought about putting a Ukie flag on the helmet but the bit is funnier if I rep as Ukraine because much like the real war there is no scenario where I win this. They are on the job 24 hours a day 7 days a week and I am not. Now they are digging holes in my herb containers and i dont have any more rabbit fence to spare.

I've been knocking back 1/2 jar of these a day for the last week.

Just came across this. The avocadoposts website is weird but this article has a good sample of Perry Bible Fellowship Comics.
