The biggest tragedy about everyone on the left using pedophile as a dog whistle is that it actually directly harms children in my opinion. Pedophelia is a mental disorder, and just because someone is a pedophile doesn't mean they have ever or will ever harm a child or anyone else for that matter.

The problem with everybody using the word pedo and creating such a hateful and negative reaction to that word instead of the more proper term of child sex offender or child rapist, is it directly results in pedophiles who want to get mental health help to ensure they never hurt a child, never will and they will just keep it quiet because their entire life will be destroyed if they try to get professional help.

Of course, everybody is always responsible for their actions, but all of you using the word pedo in such a negative and catch-all way directly results in children being harmed.

You all need to use better terminology, like rapist or child sex abuser, not using a real DSM-5 mental disorder to vilify.

I won't compare it directly to any other mental disorders because I will get a significant amount of hate, but imagine picking any other DSM-5 disorder and using it as a catch-all to vilify, it would be unpopular.

I mean the recovery images for the deck have been available and I'm pretty sure you can just install that on any x86 system.

I think your view of it is honestly a little positive. In reality, I think a lot of it is an intentional erosion of privacy to eventually implement a surveillance state and control the population completely.

scumbag US politicians want what China has lol

This is a custom small form factor PC with many of its components being user replaceable. The GPU and CPU are soldered, which is unfortunate, but it is still significantly more upgradable and repairable than any other console that has existed. So what the hell are you on about?

And Valve already has a partnership with iFixit to offer replacement parts for their handheld gaming device, the Steam Deck, and they intended to continue that partnership with their new hardware products.

I think you're just dumb and don't know what you're talking about.

Valve engineers told GamersNexus that it should be priced no more than the index, but they did not specify which kit or package of the index. So yeah, anywhere from 700 to 900 dollars probably.

In their announcement video, they specifically called out that you can install whatever software you want and showed somebody working on CAD. So, yeah, definitely.

Complain as you may, it's only going to get worse and worse. Sorry, bud.

Looks like it to me, but do we really need to do this every time the slop comes up? Like it or not, this is going to start happening more and more and you can't do anything about it.

I know you can do lots of minor things about it, but you can't do anything impactful about it that will change the way society is going. You can complain, but it's more annoying than the slop

They're not that high off the ground. You could just tape a spray paint can to a stick and paint them black. Even the most powerful handheld laser pointers wouldn't take out the entire sensor. It might just leave some dead pixels.

There are people who trip weekly or biweekly.

Plasticity, advertised as CAD for artists and made by a single dev. It isn't free, but you own the copy you buy forever and get a year of updates after you buy the copy.

I ended up on this piece of software because it has really beautiful design and runs well on Linux without any compatibility layers. There's a 30 day free trial if you want to check it out
