I think you've hit the bull's eye with that assessment. I try to keep my fluff, such as "Have a nice weekend!", to the end of mine.
Everything you own is something you need to maintain and service. Scaling back on stuff can give a real sense of freedom.
On the other hand the Dual Fuel Inverter Generator (Propane/Petrol) I got in the basement gives me sense of security.
Reading instructions would be another one that gets skipped due to stress or whatever the excuse is.

Fractal Designs Define series comes with good build quality, good sound dampening and dustfilters. Their M-ITX version is large for an M-ITX case though.
