Do you use Conworkshop?

Yeah I tried the conlang places on Lemmy, and they all look pretty dead. It'd be nice to have some conlangers here to geek out with but it looks like it's just you and me at the moment.
Core vocab is about 700 words, because my conlang creates new words from itself easily. I could probably even cut it down to 500 if I'm clever enough (don't put money on that haha). And I did the phonology/orthography before the vocab, but when I gave it a test run, a few little things didn't work as well as I thought they would, and it's been gnawing at me for weeks. The new changes are definitely an improvement, so it's just a matter of putting in the time and effort.
Hoping to finally finish the changes to orthography of my conlang. Then I need to go through EVERY SINGLE WORD and update the spellings as required. It will be a lot of work but hopefully it streamlines everything so I don't have to keep changing it. Also changing the tense conjugations and some other affixes.

I also hate extreme heat and shopping malls, and have been to Dubai numerous times. The heat and hypercapitalism were horrible, but the city itself was fascinating (to me). The last time I was there it was 52°C. I must say, the novelty wore off on that trip.
Anywhere in the US. I live in a western country that's basically a US colony, so I've seen and heard enough of the place without actually going there. Plus - Grand Canyon: it's a lot of rocks with a big canyon amongst them. Doesn't interest me.
Why would aliens ever visit us? They'd observe from afar, laugh a scornful laugh, and guard against any of us getting near them.
If a string breaks, everyone in that photo is gonna have a bad day.

Hoping to complete the song I'm writing in my conlang, and experiment with other things like the bouncy 5/4 piece I started. Also looking to take some nice nature photos to post on Pixelfed.
I started with basically no linguistic knowledge so this site helped me a lot. I recommend it, even if it's to browse other people's conlangs. It's really a one-of-a-kind.
