jfc, we really doing this? like come on.. new Rick & Morty season just started and The Rehearsal season 2 finale just dropped
but nah, guess we doing this..

for bitrefill you can just use https://trocador.app/ (which is also integrated within the cakewallet app)
it doesnt need to accept monero to still pay with monero
like, sure i guess it could potentially block funds or whatever, has there been any report of it yet tho? or u just being speculative

because your business model in itself has been reports of fails in the past
so from my point of view at least, bitrefill has a better track record than your model with the messaging apps or whatever

shopinbit aint "trust me bruh" either, it's a fully registered business that pay their taxes lmao, CEO of it went on the monero podcast as well

Not to mention all services you mentioned other than two of them are “trust me bruh” as well

which? basicswap? haveno? cakewallet? coincards? bitrefill? shopinbit?
not sure i would even consider any of those "trust me bruh"...
is like saying amazon is "trust me bruh"
like, i guess it works? but it kinda dont u know

while, you can sleep, you can have an emergency or whatever, you can have life shits or whatever
meanwhile if someone sending funds to you then what.. they just waiting, and waiting, and waiting...
and a week later "oh shit, where u been? u got my money or what?"

like, a whole week wait just for swaping shitcoins or whatever? while u could do that through instant swaps already?
dont make no sense

you would have launched it couple years ago, maybe, but in 2025, u gotta get back to the drawing board cause that shit just aint working
unless your intentions are actually malicious, there is no reason for you to do it that way in 2025

hey, cheers i guess

wouldnt recommend due to the "trust me bruh" nature and historically..:
majesticbank dont seem to have bad intentions but some delays might have gave some grey hair wondering if lost the funds or nah
and allark full on just scammed

there is basicswapdex nowadays that is working and has atomic swaps:
https://basicswapdex.com/

What does BasicSwap being in the beta stage mean?

BasicSwap is operational on the mainnet and functions reliably, yet it's still in the beta phase due to several factors.
Firstly, you might notice that some features and functionalities are either in need of refinement or absent altogether. This situation is to be expected during the beta stage of development, as the community of contributors is still working on the protocol.
Moreover, the end vision for BasicSwap extends far beyond its current state. And while a pivotal point where gathering user feedback and conducting thorough stress tests has been reached, the platform's end vision is much more ambitious than what you see today.
By opening up the beta phase to the public now, this objective can be achieved more effectively.

to buy with fiat the DEX for it is Haveno: https://retoswap.com/

for giftcards:

for "concierge service" so u can send them a link and the monero and they do the fiat purchase for you:

ffs, could you remove your sell orders at $420.69?

guess he talking about on haveno? havent checked, just stoopid lol
opsec fails do be like that sometimes...

[–] blep420@monero.town 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

maybe they been trolling from the start too lol:
https://www.mollywhite.net/micro/entry/202505211606

A Coinbase data breach filing with the Maine Attorney General finally gives us some more detail than Coinbase’s vague “less than 1% of monthly transacting users”. 69,461 people were affected, and Coinbase says the data breach occurred on December 26, 2024.

"69,461", that's like so close to the expected "69,420" lol, maybe just a coincidence, or they got a bit too greedy and added an extra 41 cases or some more insider fuckery got in the mix too, or could also just be a coincidence, who knows

not sure an opsec vs the alphabet boys even a possibility either tbh, they always end up getting fucked on the most dumbest shits

[–] blep420@monero.town 4 points 4 days ago (2 children)

all those "theories" are from the LLMs written articles, seen many of those from the "news" section on coingecko's monero page

the relisting of exchanges? bullshit, centralized exchanges are what's wrong with the cryptospace nowadays

they're giving a user experience so bad with their whole KYC (see coinbase leaks recently), with the whole withdrawal closed (but deposit open) because they're running fractional scams as seen last year with binance delisting and more recently MEXC that had withdrawals closed for a whole month since monerorun on april 18th

which as a reminder that's what the monerorun is for, exposing those shady practices from centralized exchanges

like, no one wants that, it's meant for self custody, we have the tech nowadays with DEX
https://retoswap.com/
that's where it's at rn, and if it goes down, an other network than Reto can spin a new Haveno network

then u being about the regulations or whatever, like who gives a fuck about that honestly
some more "news" that happened recently was the whole "oh no, the EU gonna ban the Monero by 2027"
meanwhile haveno gets the more adoption coming for the EU as can be seen from https://haveno.markets/
so clearly, nobody gives a fuck
if there are local sellers of the 420s even tho the regulations be like "420 bad"
then there will also be local sellers of the XMRs even tho the regulations be like "XMR bad"
circular economy, that's what's up, that's what the Bitcoiners lost, they pretty mad about it tbh lol

“There is also a lot of excitement about Monero’s upcoming FCMP++ upgrade, which is expected later this year.”

historicaly there alot of delays so would say maybe mid 2026? idk, lots of audits that could add delays or whatever sometimes..

most of your quotes seems to be pretty much the exact same as all the LLMs written articles seen around

[–] blep420@monero.town 2 points 4 days ago (3 children)

had the same thoughts after seeing the reddit thread for it as well:
https://old.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/1ks7a1o/worlds_largest_darknet_market_take_down_40b/
that links to that article with slighty different numbers but still in about the same ballpark:
https://www.elliptic.co/blog/elliptic-data-telegram-market-takedown

back in april there was also the whole "3520" BTC ($330M at the time) that been "social engineered to some US boomer by some somalian in the UK", still waiting on more news regarding if any arrest been made since they allegedly identified the "thefts"?
that was what started the pump since alot of those been transfered to XMR through instant swap exchanges

and more recently the coinbase hack that their customer service been bribed to leak customers accounts, also about $300M worth stollen but only seen reports of the troll $42.5M transaction transaction to ETH with the "L bozo " message:
https://xcancel.com/officer_cia/status/1925341673879445757
so havent seen report on those getting transfered to XMR but maybe some have been slowly?

but for that chinese market, it's actually a fuck ton of users in the $bilions so guessing it'll definitely have an impact on that buy pressure overtime as well as the short term

[–] blep420@monero.town 1 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

awesome, looking forward to it!
and dont worry about pushing things down
delays are good & can be worth the wait
similar as haveno that been delayed a fuck ton and was definitely worth the wait, so as fcmp++ will be too :)

[–] blep420@monero.town 2 points 5 days ago

hai hai lol, tenkyu for the welcome <3

i mean, the community is alright, it has a "warn" system which would be similar as localmonero's traders reputation system, it goes from 0% to 100% by 10% increments, it takes a lot and lots of actual shitposting just to get to the first 10% tbh
and if scamming then getting those "forum golds (fg): locked / scammer"

like, on the monero thread from 2023, got trolled a lil bit u know (mofo had 20% warn and nowadays 60% lmao)
but i also lost my chill here and there, like, those gamer dudes can just be really obnoxious you know lol, but even then, i just got the temp bans for like 10mins / 30mins / 45mins for probably a dozen times at least, but no warn increase, still stayed at 0% warn and also it still gives the reasons like "innapropiate thing or whatever" cause i posted a meme that was a dildo for "what people think bitcoin is" and a tree branch or something for "what people actually get with bitcoin" or something along those lines

like, better than reddit / automod that instantly deletes a thread and even after multiple edits still can't figure out wtf is wrong and why it actually keeps being caught in the reddit / automod filter, like over there can actually post without worrying if the post even gonna show up in the first place, and formating a thread feels nicer too

the trading is still very active for the newer version of diablo 2 which released in 2021 (Diablo 2 Resurected (D2R)), ladder are resets every ~4 months (as opposed to original Diablo 2 LoD that was ladder resets every 6 months) so now about 3 times a year compared to the 2 times a year
something else that works as a "reputation system" is the 2/3 rule which some people only trade depending on that, some dont care, it's 3 variables "joined date, post amounts, gold amounts" so for example an account that joined at an older date & have more golds usually have the other party send first since that is the most "trusted" based on that 2/3 rule thing, mediators on demand are also a thing for the more expensive trades
also, people be scaling their computing power to run those bots way before bitcoin even was a even thing, some made millions by selling those fg offsite (against their ToS), but it pretty much has been bitcoin before bitcoin, just on a centralized forum with centralized database, the trading is P2P tho

there's a "political & religious debate (PaRD)" section for like all that stuff, aint really my cup of tea but posted over there a bit prior to the US elections since i yolo'd 100% of my life savings on "red" through monero vegas lol, since won and posted about a smol transaction there, then posted the private key as a giveaway, was redeemed from this PaRD thread (even tho also posted in the monero thread too):
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=105172131&f=119

for the "Investment & Finance" section (where the Monero thread is at), it had a bit of activity for crypto thingies but i guess i just 1v9'd them or somethin and now everyone just silent on that which is boring af... it's mostly the "stock traders" now that keep posting, they have threads that are like 700 pages or somethin, just a bunch of boomers pretty much lol
the "XRP" thread was closed few days ago, cause OP was just spamming "XRP" in all bold letters over and over again without having any actual discussion (which i had to be the one to disclose the supply chain attack that happened last month...), like, i didnt even reported his thread for spam, he just got it closed on his own i guess..
stoopid lol

there was a "bitcoin" thread, a "cryptocurrency" thread but i really think i just went to stronk on them like actually...
and threads over there are automatically closed after 3 months of inactivity
which is unfortunate cause ik there's a few people over there that are very techy, the forum in itself was created for a botting script or something back in the days, the botting / dev community used to be bigger back then sadly

and even on the "Programming & Development" section, made a thread back in April regarding the FCMP++ coding competition to june 30th for a total reward of 350 xmr that was posted on reddit:
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=106142961&f=120
but even then, 150 views and not a single reply, sadly...

the brain-rot got to that community as well, but it used to be a great source of information with very well written guides with some very in-depth math, some crazy theorycrafting next level math u know, but nah, nowadays the twatter brain-rot got worldwide, pretty sad lol

since i :tinfoil: af tho, there's one aspect that i like is that, can't edit the posts after 30mins of posting so at least am like, aight, if accounts or whatever get hacked, at least those messages & links cant be tempered with (unless actually compromising admin account or something) but after 2 decades, that's a better track record than bitcoin so far lol
and also, it's actually searchable in search engines, unlike nowadays everything is behind closed walled gardens like the discords or whatever that those search engine can't pick up on
didnt ross posted his silk road thing on bodybuildings forum or somethin? x)
linux forums, warez forums, those were the days search engines were still working properly, now it's all AI and that's sad

[–] blep420@monero.town 2 points 5 days ago

reddit is for the reach
there was a time when looking up how to troubleshoot a techy thing or what, would type on search engine something like:
site:reddit.com "keywords"
the other day made a thread over there and within 5mins after posting it had "18k views" which i was like "aintnoway that's right, /r/Monero is dry af lol" and instantly thought that it's just scrapping bots and shits
reddit is not even usable at this point, can't post anywhere, if new then gotta wait mod approval which are usually never even happening anyways so i wont even feel bad about it if the whole subreddit gets nuked out of this shitty website eventually
and if u saw the reddit experiment thing that happened recently with the bots on the "changemyview" subreddit or whatever
reddit is literally ran by bots for the bots and not even practical for the actual hoomans lol

still, the reach...
numbers going up might not matter but the adoption in itself does so i get it if the /r/Monero mods still want to keep it for as long as they can
but for the community, yeah, reddit just aint about that and we definitely do need something community-oriented, monero.town hasnt had any adoption tho so that's pretty sad...

[–] blep420@monero.town 2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (2 children)

hai hai, long time no see indeed lol
the VM for Matrix been sitting on an encrypted drive for years at this point and i just too lazy lol, just been keeping up to date reading through reddit and the monerologs pretty much, was still posting on reddit here and there once every few months or so (last thread was the "some cryptocoin is attempting an attack on monero's network" or something like that but ended up deleting it after couple days cause was like "meh, not worth it giving that shit attention lol"

but been doing aight yea, moved to a new place, chillin with bae, walkies with the doggos and the cat happy too
and for online pretty much just been posting on the videogaming forum thing, even if doesnt have any reach, it's a community that been trading videogame items peer to peer for over 2 decades now, many that dont even play the videogames anymore but just shitposting here and there with everyone having their own lives / their own views on the world and disagreeing on all of the topics, while i feel like the internet nowadays are literally just echochambers and i hate it lol so is kind of my safe space type thing over there i guess lol

hbu? what's poppin? was it u that was planning a Haveno tutorial video thing on youtube or somethin?
cause wanted to link that as well but then didnt see anything about it so still went ahead and made new thread (that cant edit after 30mins of posting anyways)
nice seeing u still around too <3

edit: oh right, noticed your reply on your thread as well but was too lazy to bother the mods yet again for a "can u approve a reply here? x)", but was single purpose VM for reddit that kept the exact same network configuration for years, didnt change IP, was the same IP (from VPN, aint doing the TOR thing, only thing remote to that is with Haveno but it's on its own separate rig / single purpose VM and on a completely different network anyways)

Hai hai! New to monero.town

so few days ago got perma'd from reddit as a whole for replying to this thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/1kri62r/rbitcoin_even_tries_to_censor_rmonero/
the post was something along those lines:

Upvoted
and shared: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=106233489&f=383&p=674357996
the Monero thread over there been updated over the years as well: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=106240674&f=383
It dont have any reach so just posting more like as a #DearDiary at this point lmao but Reddit has became so unusable with the constant automod bs anyways, at least /r/Bitcoin can't censor the other parts of the internet that aint Reddit
Bitcoin has officially became an altcoin when Bisq's daily volume was overtaken by Haveno
after Monero already replaced Bitcoin in the circular economy and also on the fully legal market sides of things as well:
https://finbold.com/cryptocurrency-dethrones-btc-payments-in-europes-biggest-bitcoin-store/

the given reason for the reddit-wide ban was "didnt use np link" which i didnt even linked to a reddit thread LMAO, bs made up excuse, confirmed psyop, literally my whole post history was only /r/monero and /r/xmrtrader, literally no other subreddit, just tryna being helpful here and there or whatever lol

anyways, been in the community for a while now, but pretty much just playing the videogames, aint really involved in any techy shiz or what, well, for awhile few years ago was running the bridges for IRC/Keybase/Discord/Matrix for both the Haveno & Monero channels, was under the name of SpaceKitty420 but that's pretty much it tbh

like, i literally just play the videogames, for TFT on Set 13 few months ago climbed the accounts "BuyMonero" to emerald on like all the servers iirc so NA, EUNE, EUW, OCE, i peaked grandmaster/chally few years ago but idk, i just get bored too quickly nowadays... so just being like here and there tryna teach people about the tech or whatever, giving out Monero stickers in meatspaces or whatever lmao

and here's a long ass post with some history / fun facts that even kraken's ex CEO (jesse powell) started his business selling items from the videogame diablo 2 before making the centralized exchange Kraken:
https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=102666297&f=383&p=656923647
(which is what that forum is for, trading of ingame items with the currency "fg" (forum gold) that been active since 2003 and still is today)

also, despite having ran the bridges for the monero ecosystem for a lil while, maintaining monero thread on videogaming forum or whatever, even doing monero giveaways over the years, not a single donation came my way ever over the years while donation address always been public:

42oK1ttyF1nMK5T8u8RXmabV3wu48jrKh17k8XHANnwzLjoY5EsriXJNPLWDbQTNGUbUJETcJYxXT7uVqNtJs12sTqdwzCd

but whatever i guess, just living life, we chillin

"be the change u wanna see in the world"
