I always forget that he actually is like that in public. How the fuck did he got reelected. He acts and writes like he's actually 12.

FYI: In the mobile app there is link in the settings to a form where you can report missing albums.

When there are a bunch of bicycles driving (especially in the morning rush hour) and somehow they don't crash into each other and then there are also another bunch of bicycle coming from the side but they somehow just flow right through. For some it might sound like a nightmare, but you did ask for something oddly satisfying :)

Part of me expected that today is the day the subscribe button went away.

Are you using an public instance? I had hosted one myself for a year or so but google found out. And when i moved to my raspi in my apartment they did found that out too pretty quickly. Did everything as stated in the docs i believe.

500m to the cheap one and 750m to the one with the bigger selection. I walk or bike there. 3km would be too much for me i think. I would take the bus or train as i don’t have a car either, but doesn’t sound like fun.

Whoa. I have not, this looks so much cooler than the original one. Now I wish I just had the money. :(

All my childhood i was scared about being stuck in a building that was there back then. If i knew that was my smallest problem i would have scratched that idea long ago.

Mit so einer Headline wird es sich leider niemand durchlesen, dem so eine Info eigentlich ganz gut täte. :(

Suzuki Carry Just look at that truck bed! Not so sure what to put on it though…

I really liked the first part of the video. Especially the analogy with nyc traffic.

Its not much but it works.

Also please do not point out that it is closer to an "Sage Green" and not "Monstera Green" I already had that discussion with a friend :)

This channel was recommend earlier this year, but still wanted to share it here. Not sure how much in AC:GC you can still expect to be there to make a video on but the ones up there are all a great watch!

Hope this relates enough to the growing of the threadiverse and is not too technical for this comm. After the closure of .ee I was wondering if there is/was some movement to be able to migrate whole communities off an instance including all its posts. Having a great resource of human made information is the main reason to be using lemmy but the possibility of it vanishing is scary.

To my understanding the posts that are hosted on the op's instance and not the one closing down can be migrated by the actor of the community "boosting" (or whatever the activity pub term is) the posts again. And for the posts hosted on the instance closing down they could have a process similar to mastodon migration, of course on their own decision.

Was this discussed elsewhere?

Hi, hope this post is fine in regard of rule 2.

Currently doing some fun stuff with an Arduino and have it hooked up to an 128x160px and communicate with it over SPI. If i color in all 20480 pixels it takes about 2 seconds to be done and i can watch the rows change one after another.

I was wondering if there are some tricks to speed this process up a bit or does it really just come down to minimizing the pixels to be changed?

The module im using is this one: https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/1.8inch_LCD_Module

Here is also my current code if anybody cares to take a look, even though i just rewrote the example code more or less so i would understand it. https://codeberg.org/bvoigtlaender/open-phone/src/branch/main

EDIT: Thanks to jeinzi, nickwitha_k and cmnybo I have managed to bring the rendering time down from 2142ms to 80ms

Genosse Tarno sieht es genauso. :)

Natürlich mit Kontext nicht lustig. Ist eine wegen Bauarbeiten temporär stillgelegte Rolltreppe. Habe es mir aber kurz ohne Kontext vorgestellt und musste schmunzeln.

Hello all, I'm sorry in advance if this is something which is discussed in length in the past and/or opening up old wounds. I wasn't involved in the community of "OrganicMaps" but have been a user for quite some time now.

One thing i was always wondering about is if it is beneficial to have the app branded as an app for cyclists, drivers and hikers with an heavy emphasis on it being able to have maps offline. It honestly kinda put me off at first as somebody who just wants to have an privacy respecting alternative with focus on the collaborative side. I can see the benefit of it managing expectations as some parts like having to download maps could feel off or it not having the most up to date information like traffic jams. But i also believe that there are quite a lot of people who would excited about the concept of OSM. If it has a nice app for general use.

Just thought as i really liked the name change which came with the fork it might now be a great time to think about that. Was that a topic in the past?
