Thanks for this. The entertainment list made me think I want a CanCon community - it exists and I've already joined.

And if that's not enough, check out:

  1. Your local public television. I know Knowledge in BC has an app for various devices.
  2. Your library. I've been getting a lot of DVDs from the library.

Yes, speaking of Canada specifically, China is less of a present and proximate threat. However, we still need to go into any agreements with eyes wide open.

I'm sorry. I don't hold with that argument. People still need to shop somewhere, so shift those jobs to Canadian stores.

But cancelling Prime and avoiding Amazon is something people can do now without having to figure out if a website is using AWS.

That would make some more sense, given that we're cutting scientists from the public service.

I don't know that reference :) Apparently I need to play Stardew Valley - it has been recommended.

I found this video interesting, and the farmer talking about how hard it is to get their berries into stores because why would the store deal with a bunch of farmers when they can deal with one company. So the issue isn't just merging of all berries under one company but the merge of grocery stores under a handful of companies.

Came here to say this. I want them to have a national edition - that I might subscribe to.

We need to subscribe to newspapers again. Or at least pick up the weekend edition. That said, I wish there was a way I could pay x amount each month and get access to a handful of newspapers.

Bulk barn is Canadian, but you'd have to look at where the products are from. They were labelling them; I'm not sure if they still are.

I'm fortunate that I have that option as well. I didn't generally shop at them before, so not a big hardship, but I would be very hesitant to go back now if I did. They've had over a year (how long has this been going one?) to figure this out, and decided instead to do this.

But if the article is correct, and they don't have to label, we need to change that. I'd rather a label that said "product of US, Mexico, Peru or some other five countries" if they really don't know.

I'm a new electric cargo bike owner. My acoustic bike has pedal cages, and strangely not having them is one of the things that I'm struggling with. Has anyone put them on a cargo bike? It seems strange replace my nice new pedals, but I'm so used to using them to "prep for take off".
