HS means something in german, I can't ever unsee that even in other languages

In Hamburg hab ich auch welche gesehen. War mir gabz unheimlich, es gibt nicht Mal die Option nicht mitzumachen weil sie ja alle Filmen müssen damit die mit der App am Ende nichts machen müssen.

I think considering you started biking 1.5 months ago you are off to a great start! I think many people in your position would be unable to complete a 33KM trip, especially considering your practice is overwhelmingly city biking.

I of course am unaware of your previous physical shape, but assuming your body has not been trained to bike it will take you a while to get into shape.

My average is around 20-25km/h not including traffic stopping etc. It took me over three years to get here by biking to work daily, which is half uphill and half downhill (so I always have to bike uphill somewhat) and whenever I started feeling comfortable with my speed, pushing harder until uncomfortable again.

Some tips I learned in this experience and some I got from others:

  1. Your muscles will get good and more efficient the more you use them. To avoid becoming complacent in your speed in the city for instance, consider every opportunity to push yourself.

  2. Never going to make that green light anyway? Not today, try to make it as if your life depends on it. If you don't and have to break hard (you won't at first) remember you did it to be able to do it in a year if bot today.

  3. Similarly racing plublic transport (where safe) can be fun as well as good training.

  4. Isn't it nice biking in the wind shadow of this e-bike? Fuck e-bikes(cheaters(JK)), try to always pass them (great interval training) (the slow ones anyway, in my city some are capped at 20kmh and go more like 15)

  5. Nutrition: I noticed after a year or so that certain breakfast items made it easier or harder to push myself biking

  6. I don't know if you are EU or NA, but if EU or similar consider biking places that are relatively nearby, but you usually drive. This way you get new experience and slightly longer trips than you are used too which always 'stretches' you a bit more, then you 'snap back into place' a bit better that where you started.

Scroll through OP's post history a bit, you'll get it.

Havent verified it myself, but I just remembered this video. If donny desides he can get away with some warcrimes@home™ this might work.

I always wondered why more homeless people didn't do this in the us

This is INSANE, my entire household could make imense use of theese with our shitty eyesight! I don't cary about any reviews because anything like this will be 1000x better than existing bifocals, I will be preordering 3 pairs of theese as soon as possible. I just hope they don't patent the shit out of them so there will be competitors and the prices won't be astronomical.

Thanks for the explainer! I think I am in the commuter neglect category, but I am trying to understand my bike a bit more so I don't always have to bring it to the mechanic, now I have a bunch of words to search for!

4, I really should be working out instead of lemmy scrolling rn... just 5 more posts!

I am just going out on a limb here:

A week ago I downloaded e1 and e2 via my private tracker of murderbot. My setup is that my jellyfin library directly points to the downloads folder for TV shows. This has always worked in the past, but now last week for murderbot e1 and e2 and now again this friday for e3, jellyfin only recognizes the file but cannot pull any metadata and is somehow unable to stream it to any of my clients.

I haven't tried any usual troubleshooting steps yet since I was really busy this past week, but was wondering if this is some Apple mechanism to hinder piracy.

Thoughts?

Srsly though I do need 200gbs, it is a basic human need.

I already have a seedbox, but I am realizing I paid for it with my credit card (dumb) even though I used a fake name and contact info. I am going to change providers and migrate my data, but I now need to actually pay for it securely (piracy in my country is only legal if only downloading) since I not only plan to seed to a private tracker and others but also would like to buy a larger box to help out with anna's archive torrents. How do you all pay for your usenet / seedboxes?

I understand if crypto is recommended, but I dislike using it due to high overhead costs and general skepticism, so I would love some other options or providers that offer them (current provider only has crypto, stripe and PayPal).

I can't imagine anyone EVER going "Hmmm, I bet people would appreciate autosave being disabled by default to save a miniscule amount of storage space, we shouldn't even prompt the player to choose during setup" I just spent like 3 hours in a new map and it just crashed. It's all gone. I am devastated. I will now cry myself to sleep.

Ok so apparently it is an article, not a bulletpoint of the other article as the ui would suggest. According to the article, some model made a while ago predicts we should only be at 1.3% warming this year and not 1.5%. That missing 0.2% is whats the mistery, so kind of misleading headline, especially if you put it in a place that doesn't make it look like an article at all. I only found out because I accidentally clicked on it.
