Well they could spend some money on fixing all the fucking ~~security holes~~ backdoors that has plagued xG for years, they could increase coverage everywhere, but especially in rural areas, or any other plethora of issues with wireless communication.

I'd also bet on AI making isolated solutions, that will be impossible to integrate without incurring massive technical debt.

Hardly the first instance of a bank violating rules to keep making money. I guess it's going to come down to a little slap on the wrist and then they're going to use a different loophole to keep the money flowing.

I don't know enough about googles search algorithms to determine if this sort of gaming can be done simply by updating the last updated metadata, but I doubt it's as easy as that. Regardless, it's a terrifying use of google search to distort reality.

Plain common reason kind of rule out accidents. These cables have been there for years, without any major incidents, then five cables damaged in less than a year.

Something that become extremely visible when you read the news. Everything grinding to a halt, legal actions as a counter reaction, stock markets that go crazy. All evidence to the contrary of competency.

Has anyone else noticed that energy conservation/limiting never seem to apply to advertising?

Consumers are told to limit their use of energy through a whole host of technologies and initiatives, while ads are becoming ever more visible and energy consuming.
