I'm sure you can find one nearby

Come fly into the twin cities and take a look around. There's tons of different neighborhoods and you can drive to the major other cities in a day. Duluth is great and got a whole different biome from the Twin Cities. You can go to Rochester which is growing fast and has the Mayo Clinic if you need or want to work medical care. I love stillwater since it's a small town close to the twin cities but not really a suburb. You can't really go wrong.

Also to note Minnesota has three different ecological biomes in it. Prairies, coniferous forest and deciduous forests. So you can pick your landscape and see others nearby

At least the State of Minnesota has a similar consent decree with the Minneapolis police department. But that will only last as long as there are people in state to still enforce it. I doubt that will be the case for other cities who decrees are coming to be canceled. This is still despicable

I love columbines. They are so beautiful and I love that they kind of wander through the garden. I have my first one in bloom this year and can't wait to see it spread around

President Trump also announced that construction would begin on a White Genocide Museum in Washington, D.C. once several museums commemorating the history of less important races had been razed to provide the space.

Yet again an onion article killing it with the last sentence.

Every bit is worth something, even if no one person or group can do enough.

Overwhelmed with second homes / vacation homes are not sustainable. I guess my idea of a second home / cabin is much more upper Midwestern USA than what happens in the UK.

I agree there needs to be some kind of exponentially growing tax rate for multiple houses. It might kick in after two houses since a single shared vacation home between a family should be fairly affordable.

That being said its basically impossible to get a vacation home now. No one should have 3+ homes without paying much much more.

That's a good one as well.

I think it helps to convert the same ratios to easily understood dollars.

So $1 is to $1000 (one thousand) what $1000 dollars is to $1,000,000 (one million) is what $1,000,000 (one million) is to 1,000,000,000 (one billion).

I had to a video taped "interview" almost a decade ago where I had to dress up and then verbally answer questions which I didn't know ahead of time. It was awful and one of the most degrading things I have ever done. The best thing was I had a survey afterwards about how the experience went. I gave it all the lowest score and wrote that I no longer want to work on a company that would put me through this.

It is going to be even worse with an AI Interviewer. What is the point of that? What are they going to learn that is different from a resume or written summary? This is the most dystopian thing I have seen in a long time.

I always have left my clusters together. I then throw a bunch of beans in the middle. I avoid the squash sister because it overwhelms

I have Ostrich fern on the front of my house that I have been waiting years to try. I keep missing the window when they are ready so I was overjoyed when I saw my fiddlehead popping up. I chopped 9, steamed with in a pan with a little butter for 5 minutes. I plated them with just a sprinkle of flaky salt and had them for lunch today.

They were great and tasted a little like asparagus but with a more savory, earthly flavor. They were amazing and totally worth the wait. I might check tomorrow to see if I can sustainability grab a few more to have them again.

10/10 would forage again.

I am looking to purchase a crochet case from Muud for my wife's birthday. I have been looking at their website and my local yarn / craft store to find one but I am having the hardest time. I have found the Bea case but they say its for knitting needles but they have it under their crochet section. Does anyone know if this will work?

Davis Moturi lay awake in bed last October, eyes on the ceiling, unable to shake the burning image of his neighbor pointing a gun directly at him through the bedroom window.

Vue Lee spent $133 less on his electric bill this February than he did in February 2024.

The savings mean a lot to Lee. He lives in Brooklyn Park and has what he calls a “typical Asian family,” with an adult daughter and grandchildren also living under his roof. The extra money can go to groceries or family fun.

“I can spend more on the grandkids,” Lee said.
