Sounds like you're a technical manager now -- or, at least, most of the way there -- just with LLMs as your reports instead of junior devs...

I still write my code by hand in xed. I'm not exactly anti-AI (my feelings are mixed); I'm just the kind of programmer who wasn't using IDEs even before the LLM craze started...

Thanks. I often got slow downs after the start of the 3rd phase of the fight which threw off my timing... Most of the rest of the game was fine on my Steam Deck, just had issues there for some reason.

Do you have to beat that boss for Steel Soul or do the early endings count? (I don't think I have it in me to do Steel Soul either way, but I'm curious.)

By HTPC, do you mean just playing videos? If so, you're probably fine as-is for most content.

Call the manufacturer -- if it's commercially produced, there's usually a number on the jar somewhere. I've done that when I bought cereal that had a badly sealed bag inside and got sent coupons worth more than the cost of the item for taking the trouble to report it.

Maxwell (the GTX970) I believe is still receiving updates from Nvidia so probably fine.

NVIDIA dropped regular support for it last month. They will get fixes for critical security issues only (until 2028). (source)

Same -- I've just been rummaging through danbooru's tags and pools lately and stumbled into this and found it too amusing not to share.

If you're interested in building a new general purpose search engine, it probably makes the most sense to start with Common Crawl's data set and augment it rather than starting from scratch.

I typically download videos from PeerTube (from the mp4 link they provide) and then do a quick pass with ffmpeg to make seeking work better. (ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vcodec copy -acodec copy -movflags faststart output.mp4) Then I can just play them in VLC.

It's technically possible to stream PeerTube in VLC if you grab the m3u8 out of the network requests, but it doesn't seem to know how to fetch it on its own if you just give it a link to a video page though, unfortunately, and I'm not sure how to change the quality.
