Serial Experiments Lain. So good, kinda bittersweet, lots of fever dream mindfuckery.
Trying to understand the question, I'll try my best.
I don't really write except for out of necessity at work, maybe taking occasional notes, and writing my meal plans and grocery lists. Most of that is not by hand except for the meal plans on a whiteboard on the fridge.
My mind says what I want to write, slowly enough for my hand to keep up. If I'm typing on a keyboard then it's closer to a natural speaking speed. My mind doesn't really wander because I'm either too focused on the physical handwriting, or whizzing through typing up an email.
I don't really pay attention to how it looks in the moment, but always notice when I'm done writing by hand that it looks almost exactly like it did when I was 5 years old and first learned to write. Bonus if a few letters or words turned out looking accidentally more adult-written, but it's a fluke. I do pay attention when typing and catch typos in real time, then correct them when I'm done the sentence.
Writing isn't my outlet. I have other things for that.
Ergonomics aren't usually a thought unless I was writing something long by hand, which is rare since finishing school.
Yellow cat red cat.
I think this one is about a blue cat
Jumping.
We have the technology.
Elden Ring set the bar for every soulslike after it. Sekiro too, but it didn't have as much of a reach.
It's a whole nother dimension to combat and exploration. It's the clear evolution of the next generation of soulslikes. It's even kind of weird to think about how popular these games are without a jump, while jumping has been in other genres for decades.
I'm all for it. A more experienced player told me it can be used to climb and it kinda blew my mind.
I just went and added to a few!
I'm working on Lunacid. It's not really a soulslike imo, but it is inspired by Shadow Tower and King's Field according to the developer's description on Steam. I'm also seeing a lot of other fromsouls influence, especially Demon's Souls and DS1. Having a blast and recommend it.
Least favourite optional boss is DS1 Demon Firesage. It's a rushed filler reskin of a boss where a boss isn't needed. The arena sucks because of the branch collision. It's not even much of a challenge otherwise.
The Final Fantasy Tactics remake. I never buy new games, but this one is special to me and I wanted to vote with my wallet to praise them for finally releasing it for PC. They did a good job with updating it, too, so I'm happy.
First playthrough I go through it blind because you only get to experience it for the first time once. Make mistakes, do what you want.
After that look up whatever you want because there is much less risk of spoilers, and stuff you will probably miss otherwise.
Why do you care, and what would you do with that information?
