Is there a community for those of us with late 90s early 2000 HP laserjets? Somewhere we can discuss maintenance, feeding, and overall care?

Do you have some links to the California cases? Not doubting you, just curious about the details you came across.

The actual city sends a fine. If you don't clean it, they send a crew. If you don't pay for the crew, they lien the property.

Source: got letter from the city a week ago.

In fairness, I've been dealing with a lot and there were some areas that looked like we were abandoned. I've been meaning to clean out the unwanted stuff so the flowers can grow. My lawn is mostly moss and clover and that's not what they cared about.

I never watched Futurama again after this one. I didn't trust them to not randomly destroy my soul.

Yeah... as my Dad got older he spilled some tea... evidently Grandma had some boyfriends on the side. She tried to get my mom married off to a preacher's son after calling her names growing up. (Projecting, obviously now)

There was more, but it's best summed up with the olds didn't want the youngs doing what they were doing on the down low. And so it goes...

Don't states have extradition with each other? Or is that just on TV shows?

As an adult, I would add: they won't admit they're wrong, even when they know it.

You'll find this happens a lot

I hope I help stop it if/when I see it happen and don't freeze up. But right now, I'm not where this is happening because I can't drop everything and travel out of state.

I write and call my representatives. My social group is trying to stay aware and not ignore what's going on.

If anyone suddenly found themselves wondering if it's home in or hone in, from the grammerist.com

"Home in and hone in are different since home in is to direct attention, while hone in is to perfect a skill. The two phrases seem the same because of how they are used in sentences."

It also says hone in is used informally for home in and generally accepted even though it's not really correct usage. "Home in" exists because of the homing pigeons.

When we traveled out of the country for the 1st admin, we got treated with suspicion until we said truthfully we voted for the Democratic Party options.

To be clear: People were great until they (usually) guessed we were Canadian, then we'd get side-eye when they found out we weren't.

The difference in land border crossing experience into Canada got more overall hostile the further into 2018-19.

We haven't traveled like that since Covid. But I imagine voicing your distaste for fascism is required in polite circles now. Saying you voted Kamala and for the Dems is a good short-hand, even if you recognize they aren't anywhere close to Perfect-Good.

I remember a story at the beginning of the Arab Spring. A student journalist tweeted, "Arrested" to his few followers and it went viral. https://mashable.com/archive/twitter-get-out-of-jail
