No I don’t like the look of ss all scratched up either, so I’d slap an ugly car on my beautiful iPod

Sounds like potentially a carrier issue?

I usually have two on hand. A clear case and non clear

Yeah no, Apple screwed the pooch on this one. It used to be simple and you could easily do it without the convoluted bullshit they implemented in iOS 17. Asshats…

That’s why Gboard does not work for me for example, because I use English and Romanian, and aside for a few special characters, it’s the same character set. But I have to rely solely on G board knowing or predicting what word I’m typing or what language I’m typing. The Apple keyboard, the way, it is still works better for me because I can force it to a specific language.

I agree the keyboard is crappy, and if you use slide typing it’s absolute crap. The period placement is a huge pet peeve. I think it affects right handed people more than left handed - just anecdotally, but I could be wrong.

Gboard…I tried it many times over the years and more recently with my iPhone 15. My experience is that it’s worse than the Apple keyboard. I use slide typing heavily, and daily use two languages. Gboard…is cumbersome in my case because it relies solely on guessing the words you’re typing, and because multiple languages are all a hodgepodge in one single keyboard pot (aka with Gboard you don’t explicitly switch languages) the autocorrect gets in the way a lot. Also when long pressing a key to choose a special character like ă, the delay is way too long. So I went back to the devil I know.

OP, are you asking about under the hood stuff or things like @apprehensive_view614 mentioned?

Chrome and FF

Let me ask you this: why would you think you shouldn’t have to? It’s an external drive like any other. The file system has to be quiesced and unmoved cleanly.

Everything I’ve read so far are great, and some I’ve noticed and wanted, others are things I didn’t know android phones could do and would be nice. So as not to repeat what others have wrote, I’ll throw in my possibly 2c. I would like the ability to choose whether BT devices auto Connect or not. It’s just a mess for example if you have your phone and your spouses paired in a family car. The phones fight for connectivity. If you turn BT off you’re cutting off your …Apple Watch let’s say or my hearing aids. Here’s another one related to this. If I have music playing through a BT speaker and then walk away temporarily out of range of my phone, my hearing aids would have disconnect and when in range again music switches to the hearing aids instead of the speaker. There are other examples but these two I happen frequently.
