I didn't know that! You can play .apk files directly on the headset? Haha, il buy the game from steam ofc but if I can't do that then maybe I will go that route :3

yeah and that pisses me off. well not the people not buying the hardware but the developers. i would LOVE to play Hotdogs And handgrenades but untill i get the frame i cant as the devs of that game has clearly said "we will not be porting our game to any meta owned platform".

thats actually a great point ๐Ÿ˜† . the difference with vr is that the games have to have a good frame rate, as unlike on the deck, you will get sick because of the fps.

teh quest 2 sold 20 mill units (most of the 20 12 year olds yes) but still! maybe the frame can sell 25 mil

yeah i expected that. i expect just like the steam deck, companies will optimize their game to be "Steam Frame Verified" or something like that.

im confused, its specs are amazing and on paper is more powerful than the meta quest 3, but its mainly being advertised as a streaming headset that goes from your vr spec pc (that is becoming more and more expensive these days for people).

so can it play games natively on the headset or not? i want to get it for my birthday as i see it as a worthy sucessor to my quest 2 that is amazing, but its controllers are drifiting to an unrepairable degree.

i was gonna get a quest 3 for christmas but then the steam frame got announced and i was like HELL NAH and thew my quest 3 ideas out of the window. if everything falls into place il have my steam frame just intime for my birthday :D

gone will the days where i will be kicked from vrc lobbies for being a "Questie". gone will be the days of my game crashing mid snuggle session, gone the days of having a lowkey mid game selection (apart from like metro awakening as if i was gonna get the quest 3 i would have 100% gotten that game)

cant wait to get ittttt (also i cant wait to play half life alyx on it)

I love reading and talking about military hardware, but we must remember not to be blinded by them or to "idolize" them, we must remember that they have been used for atrocities that should be talked about, but are not.

i find the 1991 Gulf War so facinating as it was so one sided, the americans took out targets at such an efficiency that i admire as only true tacticians could have pulled that of as smoothly as it did. however as with all wars, we must remember the terrible, terrible things done by them like bombing an iraqi emergency air raid shelter and its relentless targeting of civilian infastructure.

i am very close to getting an apple newton h1000 and i was wondering what i could do with it apart from playing around with it ie, i want to use it as it was intended (as much i can anyway) so do you have any advice on how i can use it in this day and age?

also id really like to connect it to my windows laptop (windows 10) so i can put programs and the like on it if thats possible (i did find a listing for a 8 pin to usb cable thats 50 BLOODY POUNDS but thats ok because il probably find anther listing on temu for something similar
