If you got the time, I find it incredibly satisfying to spend time to fix just one little thing in the house, (like a creaking door for example). Then, every time I use that thing, it reminds me of that success.

Even if it's just one simple fix out of the dozens of broken things, it still feels good! Also, friends may help with fixing the house 😉

Yeah, that one is just a melting dumpster... slushy?

Yup! But this guy is a pro-highway/anti-public-transport urban expansionist.

With the bad planning (read here populist tax cuts), he currently has water/sewers issues such that most of the city cannot be densified, amplifying the local housing crisis.

This small city has worse traffic condition than the province capital on the other side of the river!

I only got diagnosed because I was at the hospital for something else, and the local specialist noticed something was off with my behaviour. (I was there for a little while, to be fair.)

As an adult, navigating anything administrative is a nightmare.

Hehe, that's just a fun thing I noticed 😉

I had a colleague code a FFT algorithm in Excel because that was the only deployment tool the customer would be allowed to use...

What if the sponsor is the blanket university funding for a professor's research? It may have some bias, but there is no steak in the actual result.

I expect to see "these results call for more research on the topic", but that's pretty much it.

That explains narwhals 🦄

Poynting vector points towards the direction energy is going, if I recall correctly.

Petition to rename the common words: boyling water, poynting towards things, and heavi weights.

I didn't know of other type of oxides that eat into the metal like rust does...

But it's true that a "rusted crown" implies that it is iron-based, so the cantrip should work!

Hello! I've been working with the arr stack for common and popular file types (linux ISOs off course!), connected to jellyfin.

I've set up Readarr recently and I have a hard time getting it to find good, well documented sources. Book titles and formats are not often set correctly on public trackers.

Do any of you have good suggestions to improve the workflow? It seems I always have to manually pick the torrent, then manually import in JF. It usually works great for videos.

From the official video description:

There are times in life where you have to stand up and fight for what you believe in. As touring musicians one of the greatest things we got to experience is meeting people from all over the word, from all kinds of cultures, with all kinds of skin colors, sexual orientations and individual features. Diversity is what makes this life exciting and colorful - We believe in tolerance, human dignity and humanity! Rise Up, Tear Down!

Bonjour! Je tente de déménager mon compte vers cette instance parce que j'ai le contenu partagé par les membres du serveur.

Cependant, jai aussi besoin de mon apport quotidien de mêmes scientifiques que je trouve habituellement sur !science_memes@mander.xyz.

https://jlai.lu/c/science_memes@mander.xyz

Il semble ne plus synchoniser depuis près de 10 jours. Sur mon ancienne instance, le contenu continue d'être ajouté. Est-ce normal? Est-ce que la fédération fonctionne correctement?

Merci!
