Changes so far:

• Change icon & splash background based on system theme (eg. light background for light theme, dark background for dark theme).
• Fix a bug where punctuation is included in the url. Eg. https://en.wikipedia.org/. is parsed as https://en.wikipedia.org/. instead of https://en.wikipedia.org/)
• Changed person/community mention auto-complete to insert just the mention by default. Eg. previously tapping on the suggestion idunnololz@lemmy.world would insert [@idunnololz@lemmy.world](https://lemmy.world/u/idunnololz), after the change tapping it would insert @idunnololz@lemmy.world. Add a long-press menu with the option to insert the full link.

Welcome to v1.65.

This release brings some general polish to the app, rounding out some rough edges and aims to improve the overall user experience.

The major change included in this update is a fully fledged save/restore system for post feeds. This system works under the hood so you shouldn't notice any changes to the app. This system aims to make leaving and returning to the app a more predictable experience. You should no longer lose your place in the post feed.

If you preferred the old experience, this new save & restore system can be disabled in Settings > Post feed.

There are a lot of other minor improves too such as improved error handling and text editing. See the change log for more details.

Rolling out the changes above as v1.65.1.

This release is dedicated to all the admins and moderators who are keeping our instances and communities running.

This release adds additional moderation tools/features. In particular, it improves the mod logs screen and adds support for more mod things (private message reports, registration applications).

The release has been in the works for a while, so I've decided to make it live now although some additional features are planned and in the works. I'm still working on more changes and I will tack them on to this release as patch updates as they become ready.

I'm currently on a trip to visit family, so I will be slower to respond/work on the app in general.

Fixed the inbox for regular users but it was still broken for mods. Fixed in v1.64.2.

Bump the version to v1.64.3. This release is identical to v1.64.2 but I forgot to do a version bump for v1.64.2.

Fix some bugs with the release. Released as v1.64.4.

• Add cake day.
• Fix a bug where the app would crash randomly.
• Fix a bug where sometimes downloading an image would fail without an apparent cause.
• Make the post predictive back animation more apparent.

Working on more things:

• Fix a bug where selecting one of the inbox screen categories fast will cause items from two categories to appear at the same time.
• Add a shortcut to go back to the "Unread" category in the inbox by tapping the inbox button when it's already selected.
