The real annoyance on this remote is the side search button. Keep pressing that by just taking the remote and it's annoying as f*. Worst it can't be disabled.

This is the way. Fuck this corporate greed and let's watch them die one by one. The only way I see this is one company where you have access to 100% of the streaming services, and they send the amount of money you've actually consumed to those streaming services. This means more people will use the streaming services = more content and more customers/income for them. Everyone's happy. Look at this it'll never happene because they're all fucking stupid. So let's sail the high seas and watch them die.

Like said in op he'll have a VPN. This means you only open the ports with your VPN provider. You should under no circumstances open ports on your home network.
