Lua has a really good C api. Not sure if there's anything for rust.

No, when you make a http request, the route is a part of the headers. DNS is only the name part.

I read somewhere that some people discharged the battery, and then carefully poked the layer full of gas, and had the battery albeit with only 50% of its previous capacity.

Still a terrible idea.

TranscriptA piece of paper on an old printer (a laserjet 4050 to be specific. It says: "Hello, My name is LaserJet 4050 and I was made in 1999. I’ve been doing my job printing your documents for many many years, however I think the motor that powers my paper feeder is bad. This makes me sad because I’m not able to do my job very reliably. As such, I am formally presenting this document as a letter of resignation. IT is working on finding a replacement for me, but for the time being, I apologize if I tell you I have a paper jam. Please allow me to refer you to my coworker, LaserJet 3390. 3390 resides outside of Ray’s office and can be reached at: Please accept my sincerest apologies for failing. Thank you for replacing my toner and restocking my paper tray. It’s been a wonderful 14 years of working together. Much love, LaserJet 4050

TranscriptAn email with the subject "Tic Tok Trend". It says:

Students and Parents,

We are aware of the Tik Tok trend involving students inserting small metal objects (such as paper clips, pushpins, pencil lead, etc.) into the charging ports of their Chromebooks. This can result in creating sparks, electrical fires, and/or battery punctures, all of which can cause serious injury and damage.

After this message, if a student chooses to participate in this inappropriate behavior, the student may be charged the replacement fee for a new Chromebook. Additionally, the student will face disciplinary action in the form of out of school suspension (OSS).

We are asking for your support in speaking with your child about the dangers of this behavior, as well as reinforcing the importance of treating school-issued devices with care.

A purple button at the bottom says “View, Appreciate or Reply”, and a note underneath states “Please do not reply to this email.”
