Everyone loves Bazzite, and they're probably all right, but it did not run very well on my old gaming laptop.
Since people often mention Linux (in general) as being a good OS for older hardware, I thought this anecdote might be a helpful perspective to some.
I tried two or three other distros on that laptop, and they all ran fine as expected. I assume Bazzite has some higher system requirements to power its cool features.

I appreciate the deep dive, but like, I think I'm just a fundamentally different kind of computer user than this person who has an automatic warning on their website telling me to disable all javascript by default.
I'm not saying they're wrong, just... more invested in security than I am, among other things probably.
i like watching the little pacmans install software for me
god i forgot about this one
made me spit all over my laptop
Pet peeve: had to check "Other" and write "None" several times but otherwise fun little survey. Results should be fun to look at.
lmao this is good
This is one of my favorite videos of all time. Thanks for spreading quality content
Appreciate the summary. You made it much easier to understand.
First time I installed Linux was maybe two years ago, and I watched a video that basically told me it's best to start with something simple and install things as you need them, so I got plain ol Ubuntu.
Well it turns out it's really hard to get basic shit working when basic shit doesn't work. I was having some crazy dual monitor problems.
I've tried Pop and Endeavor now and I'm much happier.
I've been playing so much Mindustry this Summer. I didn't even realize it was open source when I bought it but that was a fun fact to find out.
Still got a few Deltarune chapters to go
