Hahaha, that'd be real bad.

[–] jgrim@discuss.online 3 points 11 months ago

Nah. I didnt want to build anything yet and just wait to when I migrate to sublinks. But that will be a bit longer.

I'm using MediaWiki. There might be a way to accomplish this easily. I'll look into it

Over 1.1 Million articles were created. Each by a different user.

Yeah, I'm not convinced people notice the ones on D.O. regarding the other sister sites or donations. Perhaps a change to the theme or something.

[–] jgrim@discuss.online 2 points 11 months ago

Yeah, I am for now. However, if I lost my job or something major happened I'm not sure I'd be able to keep paying for it all. I should probably do better at fund raising. 🤔

Thanks!

I should add that there is almost exclusively cost to being an admin. For example, I pay around $5000/year to host demo.sublinks.org, discuss.online, matrix.discuss.online, social.photo, and utter.online. I take in a negligible amount of donations. Plus, I spend a lot of time moderating content and maintaining infrastructure.

I should have clarified that its documentation on the instance or new user groups. You make a point about new users not knowing. There isn't a way to create a welcome email easily for new users so perhaps a banner or site sticky would help. I find that most don't read the sidebar.

Chill garden is a way better term. Makes it seem more intentional rather than being censored. Might be a good name for a new instance.

I see signups but no activity. I'm not really sure it's growing but people are trying it.

I agree, plus, people can block politics if they want already. Perhaps help improve onboarding documentation would help more than a kiddie pool instance. That does sound nice though. Perhaps a new instance that’s a subdomain of discuss.online or a new domain.

Not posted. They were reviewed during one of the Sublinks weekly standups; however, the person who collected the data no longer works on the project. I think we have the data somewhere I just need to find it. Then we can release it.

There should be a link on the website navigation to create a new community.

"BattleBit Remastered is a low-poly, massive multiplayer FPS, supporting 254 players per server. Battle on a near-fully destructible map with various vehicles!"

Looks really awesome, I played during on of the playtests a while ago and it ran smoothly.

Helping spread the word for this great game, reminds me of Bad Company 2.

BattleBit Remastered is an anticipated Battlefield-like game with destructable maps and huge 127v127 matches. It's already one of the top sellers on Steam.

The site is also available with the new v0.18 front-end at https://beta.discuss.online/c/[community name]

I just signed up for early access. I was approved. I installed it, and it's a very small game relative to other games. 314MB.

I'm also curious to try it on my SteamDeck.
