They don't mean anything anymore... Seen people on here calling everything from Joe Biden to Buffalo wild wings fascist.. (real encounters)

Sure, yes, he is a fascist. I have no idea what that's from, but, again, I agree with the point, not the person making it... i have no more interest in more ad hominem.

D!!! Of Course??? Turkish, Greek, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Irani, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Filipino.... E, C and G get honorable mentions but it really is not fair at all.

I don't think that's the point. Whether or not they think Trump's actions are fascist, which I assume they do because they are on Lemmy, doesn't matter.

The point is that the name of an organization (or group) does not exactly have to match its intentions and actions. If I made an anti-Nazi party with all the ideology and policy of the Nazis, and committed horrible crimes, then I could call out my opposition and say that they were Nazis for opposing my anti-Nazi party.

I do think Trump is a fascist, but not because he is "anti-anti-fascist".

The meme is entertaining, though

Sad that all we can do to prevent literal fascism is unsubscribing from a streaming service

Your concerns are valid to some extent but I think these instances, while awful, happen much less often than you make them seem

Well, directly is worse than indirectly

i do not deny that there is some level of corruption in the police force and restructure would help, but i think this is a vast overstatement.

I want to understand the common point of view on this platform, I see it quite often but I can never bring myself to agree with it... I don't see actual real life examples that the primary function of the police is to keep the lower classes in line. often I see people arrested and pulled over, but not subjugated. I don't think most cops are "bad cops"
