Musk doesn't hold any office, so he can't be impeached. He probably stole a bunch of government data, so that might be an avenue for prosecution if the US ever gets an AG that cares about crime again as opposed to anyone in that post for the last decade.

Eh, Dubya was equally worshipped after 9/11, and now you're not going to find one Republican that will admit to ever supporting him. The strength of conservatism is that you're not expected to have values or be consistent ideologically, it's about being told what to believe.

When Trump finally dies, everyone will pretend they never liked the guy and prop up the next horrible guy.

People generally don't launch their Tesla (or whatever) every time they take off from a red light. Only a small minority does it occasionally, other times they'll just choose a more comfortable way to speed up.

EVs generally incentivise drivers to take it easy to maximise range.

So Trump is "crazy" for implementing tariffs, but then a bipartisan group in the Senate proposes even larger tariffs and that's fine? A 500% tariff on China (and possibly India and the EU, depending on whether they give in) is just not tenable, and now Democrats are signing up to and even upping the ante on this same stupid strategy?

Yep, exactly this. Force everyone to use Medicare so there's no political incentive to gut it instead of a two tiered system.

Eh, a beating is unlikely, but they'd definitely get pushed out.
