This is horrific, it's a miracle nobody died. Hopefully in the future they use bollards to keep the streets safe for future events.

And he's showing all law enforcement that he has their backs, even if they do something illegal. He also cancelled a bunch of consent decrees that were designed to stamp out abuses in other cities (not that those are sufficient, obviously, but it was something).

There's already a ton of alternative email hosting solutions, and things like nextcloud can take the place of Office365. It all exists already.

Yep, Israel has been clear about it on day one. Maybe Merz should read South Africa's ICJ filing that's filled with quotes that clearly lay out the intentions.

Eh, our company doesn't use any of those (and not even out of any kind of ideology, it's just Google/AWS/Apple, which is of course equally bad). If the EU put the right incentives in place, governments and eventually even companies could migrate within a few years.

Still, it's ridiculous that European institutions use Microsoft/Amazon/Google for anything. It should be homegrown and open source all the way.

As long as he's President it's basically a way to funnel money to him.

Yeah, it's basically a way to give political cover in case a pardonnee goes on a killing spree afterwards. But Presidents on both sides of the aisle have unilaterally pardoned people as well, of course, especially at the end of their second term.

They have a process to vet people that apply for pardons, and while not mandatory, most pardons historically have gone through this process in modern times. The DOJ will then recommend the 'deserving' ones to the President, and the President will sign them if he feels like it.

Don't forget he had to switch out chefs recently. I guess Prigozhin knew more about balancing macros than whomever is in charge now.

You're falling for his PR strategy, he's not a good guy.
