Slightly better than my path.

I bought a house this year, also age 40. To get there, I took a job with a large soulless corporation that is slowly destroying all of us, and then borrowed against all my retirement to get my down payment money.

I just keep saying, “At least I have a house…”

But, only after not getting an answer from Copilot.

That’s what I have and I love it because it feels solid to use. I bought an expensive Backbone because it was marketed pretty well, but it just felt so flimsy that it had to be returned.

But, my long-time sole password of TrustNo1 should be good right??

It is literally called Intro Skipper and it requires the Media Segments API as well, if memory serves, because you can do some customization to help define the intro and outro that isn’t auto-recognized.

E.g., I created my own Mass Effect “show” that I loaded into my Jellyfin, and I don’t have a true “outro” for my episodes, so it just defaults to “Next Episode” with 30 seconds left. But I did create a specific intro for the “show”, and without it being a legit TV show, the intro automatically picked up the intro across the episodes and gives me an option to skip.

I can’t speak to Kodi, but you can check the project on GitHub: https://github.com/intro-skipper/intro-skipper

That intro is the reason why I added Intro Skipper plugin to Jellyfin. 😅

Won’t somebody please think of the economy?!?

Ah! This is very likely it. I can see all my past comments if I tap on the Comments link. I guess the other comments that fall off are less than >50, so maybe there’s some cutoff.

Devs: If we could tweak that, I know that I would appreciate it.

I thought for the last few months that my comments were just being removed, but I logged into Lemmy.world just through Safari today and found all my “missing” comments.

Currently, in the Voyager app, I can see a comment made 2 months ago, but any other more recent comments do not display in my profile for more than a few days. This is problematic because I comment often to return to posts with links I’d like share, or just revisit the conversation. I’ve actually stopped using Voyager and visiting these instances much because I figured I was doing something wrong and having comments removed without notice.

Now that I’ve found that this appears to be Voyager-specific, I’m curious what settings are causing this or if this is a bug.

I would actually recommend Michael Crichton for an 11-year-old rather than King.

Jurassic Park, Sphere, Congo, Andromeda Strain; all fantastic novels that will be interesting without traumatizing a young reader.

I read King’s The Stand at age 11, and about halfway through it, I literally remember thinking, “I might be too young to be reading this…” If you are set on introducing King, Thinner is all right, but I think King’s writing is really best for teens (like 16+) and older.

I’m not as big a fan of velour as you are.

Episode 3 in my Mass Effect show.

Comments are welcome!

I’ve put together The Mass Effect Show, featuring my Leah Shepard. A fair amount of effort has been put into removing many of the “game” elements and make this more cinematic.

Weekly “episodes” planned through ME1-3. Any positive feedback is welcome as I’m an extreme novice in video editing. Cheers!
