I'm sorry that I don't have a fix for your problem, probably some weird difference in installed libraries between OpenSUSE and valve's custom arch distro, but I have to ask: why run OpenSUSE on a steam deck in the first place?

It's because, for once, Microsoft just used the IRC protocol for mschat and comic chat, instead of inventing their own bullshit. I'm sure whoever made that decision was immediately terminated.
