Naw, it’s a pretty bad headline. It specifically says “Europe freezes US travel”, when travel hasn’t been frozen and Europe as-a-whole didn’t do anything. “European airlines adjust US flight schedules due to reduced demand” would be more accurate.

It isn’t quite like the stereotype, but I and others have it out here in BC. However, it’s more like “a-bow-oot” (with “bow” pronounced like the front of a ship). Likewise with “out”, it’s like “ow-oot”. There’s a small but distinctive “oot” on the last part if you listen for it. Not sure how many regions have it, though, or how much more distinctive it is than the USian version.

I had a work laptop just die one day. It had been working fine, but then I came back from lunch and it was off. After lots of troubleshooting, I narrowed it down to a fried M.2 SSD. I was WFH, so definitely no interaction at the time of failure.
